  1. Better than mine, filled up with V yesterday for 114.9...
  2. Thanks Maxsurf, yeah Ancasters have said they have taken the photos and will let me know. Definitely think the wheels have been refurbed in the past but we'll see what they say.
  3. Hmm interesting idea, but I'm thinking the police won't be too bothered over £60-100 worth of damage? I did think at the time that not giving details was iffy but everything about him was!! Think Frank Butcher from Eastenders, he was that kinda character! Need to arrange quotes for Tues/Wed, then we'll get back to the insurance company.
  4. Other than the fact that's pretty out of order to anyone disabled who actually needs those bays (sometimes there's too many bays given over but that's a fault of the store) but you're risking someone having a go at the car if they see you getting out ok having parked there, one of my relative's sons has a heart condition so is registered disabled, but they get grief all the time because he doesn't look disabled. Also with the parent/child spaces - trolleys being pushed by the little darlings scare me! -TPO.
  5. As someone who's just bought one and joined here, my view is that it's a class car and although yes it's become cheaper over time, it's still a rare car to see on the roads! I tend to keep my cars for a few years and would like to hope we'd keep our Zed for a few years too. We drove a Boxster S when checking out cars and yes it was lighting quick but souless compared to the Zed, and there's loads of Boxsters on the roads All the chavs in my neck of the woods are smacking it around in Honda CRXs or older cars with huge exhausts etc. Chav car owners in my opinion are those who as already mentioned have no respect for anyone else - e.g. driving like idiots on busy roads or in residential side streets, or screeching past houses at half 1 in the morning during the week, just because they have no job the rest of us still have work! Decent bodykits tend not to be chavs because they take time and money to do properly. Crappy kits never completed - oh yes. -TPO.
  6. TPO

    Nissan Design

One in each door for me. Although I finally noticed last night that they have a little orange light on when the headlights are on
  7. Saw two other Zed's myself when heading to Ancaster this morning: GM Coupe in South Croydon, BJM xx Azure Coupe on M23 heading south, M900 xxx Hello chaps if you're on here
  8. Sounds similar to what our insurance will work out over the year (just changed part-way as we just got the car). I'm 31, wife's 32 and full NCB. I'll be calling Chris Knott in a couple of months as we had a MX5 before (RWD experience). On the original subject, my wife's 1.4 S Clio always gets rated as a 1.4 Sport Clio by insurance databases!
  9. Plus you have the off-shore tax breaks that Bush introduced which mean profit from outside the US is tax-free, and you route everything through your indian call-centre...
  10. Well looky there they are!!! Thanks guys!
  11. I was added as a FB friend and thought it was someone from here, I kinda understand that they were promoting their own site but I got annoyed at 5-10 updates a day on FB linking to the site, once was enough! I've never been on such a friendly, helpful and useful forum as this thanks to the people here (and I say this as an admin of another forum myself!) and personally won't be looking elsewhere. Man reading all the posts on here each day takes me long enough! -TPO.
  12. My mum was walking back to her car in a Tescos car park a few years back, having parked over the far side and saw some kid with his mates shove a trolley into it as they were walking out of the car park Suffice to say she wasn't best pleased...
  13. And you posted to help me at that ungodly hour - you rock
  14. aaaaah....guess what I'll be testing tonight then I'd pressed the button but didn't hear anything, I was expecting the washers to be obvious but the Zed is too stylish for that
  15. On my car, there is a square panel on the bumpers below the headlights which is where I assume the washers would be. But I have the button on the dashboard to operate the washers? Is this the norm?! -TPO.
  16. I'd get a quote first from ChipsAway and see how much it will be. There have been reports on here of premiums being raised for "non-fault" claims. I would get it from the insurance company that this claim wont effect your premium, as for the sake of £100 with ChipsAway it might save you more than the premium will go up because you've had a claim. Yes, my sentiments exactly. I would definitely rather pay myself than affect the premium! On happier news, I've just washed the car prior to having it serviced on Saturday and a little bit of AG SRP later I've removed the two lower marks as I'd hoped would happen , so it's only the top scrape that needs doing Oh, and the little scratches around the car that were there when we bought it...
  17. Really good - especially for your first time with an SLR I have a Canon 40D and need to play with the long exposures a lot more
  18. Quick update, my wife called her insurance just to see what they said and they reckon there's a good chance of his insurance paying out given the photos apparently, so we'll log the claim and see what happens, if they don't have any joy then we'll just get it done by ChipsAway or whatever's local to us (used them before when my old car got keyed and was very happy with the result and service).
  19. Having tax based on the engine size is ridiculous, you're already taxed for being on the roads and you're taxed on petrol usage which is based on engine size and mileage done. Greedy sods...
  20. At the big cat sanctuary - bit on the dusty side but still nice to see a fellow zed
  21. It's lovely weather here, certainly not windy. Having a lovely time really apart from Mr Cretin! Looks like I'll just have to arrange a detailer to check it out - anyone here from the Woking area with any recommendations? Sarnie, if only I could disable the CCTV for a few minutes...sigh
