yes there is but depends on age of car Hold both the open button and close button at the same time for 5 secs IIRC to change the setting Its an anti carjacking facility.

Thats what i would do if i were to get them re painted. Just looking at buying some stock rims....then putting the rays up for sale where the buyer can choose what ever colour they would like included in the price why cant you fully refurb them, £30 a wheel
