  1. Yea probably wasnt the most likely thing Im just glad i wasnt planning on going on holiday
  2. Only just caught up with this Nah wouldnt bother mate, really doesnt look good... Got to say the white and black combo does work well.
  3. I have vinyl, not the carbon one, on the bottom of my bumper and it does get scratched up a fair bit, but like Rich said just get it redone after a few months.
  4. All cars can be broken into mate, im afraid thieves have a lot more tools at their disposal than just a brick and crowbar. Doesnt matter if your car is a corsa or a 100k+ Ferrari they will get in and 90% of the time without setting off any alarms. Just keep everything either out of the car or at least out of plain sight.
  5. ahh ok, didnt think you were that crazy but just checking
  6. I'm sorry, Stew, but I've been searching for a while now and found lots of interesting information, but not the answers to the questions I posted. It is not clear in all the threads I looked at whether or not there would be any gains by re-mapping a standard engine with no significant mods (except the popcharger). All of the threads seemed to concern people who had a lot of mods on their cars first. Also, though I seem to remember a thread which suggested something about the re-map removing the JDM limiter, I can't find it at all now. Here you go Jim: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=114&t=27916 this was simply in the Abbey motorsport section. Theres also a thread called uprev for dummies where a forum member has had his done recently along with all the questions you asked, answered. But yes you will feel a difference as it opens throttle 100% and also smooths out the torque curve. You wont get much in terms of numbers but the overall driveability will be MUCH better. Your JDM limiter can be removed also. For someone who asked about the EPR Throttle controller, this does not give you 100% throttle, it merely sends a signal to the ECU to tell it that the throttle is further down than it actually is thus making it feel more responsive. Hope this helps guys, im not an expert but have read enough on here to know that the Uprev is a great modification to purchase, from everyones reviews its a no brainer if you have the cash ready.
  7. I know what your saying bennet in regards to getting certain bits to fit, an "end connecter hose piece" are you saying this is why it would cost £150?
  8. If the price is right mate then count me in, although im pretty sure this could be done DIY very cheap, £150 is crazy.
  9. Just a thought, but you might want to delete the majority of your posts, and possibly the entire old thread as if they really are looking on here they will see that you instigated a lot of it. Thats not a dig at you by the way, but if you really are worried about comments on a public forum then its common sense. Glad your getting things sorted though mate its been a long time coming.
  10. And just when you thought it couldnt get worse I would ask for a cash exchange for the car, let Max power and the garage have a legal battle and keep yourself out of it. Not sure how you would go about it, but after all the hassle its got to be viable?
  11. can't be good as its filtered in my work really?? Its not that bad
  12. I hadnt kept up with this topic since my "car friends" post! This is hilarious, although it does remind me of this story i saw: http://www.epicfail.com/2009/11/21/husband-fail/ Please dont read if your easily offended though
  13. Car Friends! So whose who then?
  14. thats strange, the sound you describe is the same as i get if its wet and the tyres are cold. Wouldnt a gear problem be apparent through the feel of the gear stick?
  15. Second point might be the TC kicking in, if your approaching at speed and down shift you obviously cause the back end to be alittle unstable, TC is bringing it back into line and this prevents you accelerating fully.
  16. no status, just had a bump and needed headlight and bumper ...illl get full lowdown when it all checked out monday, but least it wasnt written off ....helps me a bit! sell that thing before it blows up Seriously webuyanycar would be the best place for it
  17. did they quote you the £8900 knowing that its Cat C or D? or was the car never actually given that status after the accident?
  18. That must have been annoying Stew, its kind of a last minute thing as we have agreed a mortgage and an asking price with solicitors but it still has the stamp duty in the paperwork, does this mean its to late? we havent agreed a moving in date or transfered any money yet though..
  19. well from someone whose now going through his first house purchase im alittle bit excited! Ive read through the increase in stamp duty threshold to 250k but ive only found one website that has said it goes into action from midnight tonight! Did anyone listen live to that particular point as im still unsure if thats actually happening. If so it saves me £1500 as only now agreed a buying price on the property.
