i've heard alot about the vredesteins aswell and had lots of people talking about them at lakez. I think the tread pattern looks the business aswell

Bridgestones are excellent tyres. The re040's require heat in them to be sticky and not great in the wet. The re050a's are a bit better. The sidewalls are very stiff which makes the drive a bit more precise but this does add to road noise. Michelin pilot supersports seem to be the best rated. The michelin ps3's are not so good and are usually mistaken for being upgrades to ps2's which they actually aren't. Plenty of info if you search on tyres

i've just had another look at mines mate and those definately look like the oem cats with the heat shields removed. Especially with the mounts for the brace and the ready fitted bolts welded in

Are those the ones which came up on eBay a week or 2 ago advertised as standard cats? Could they be standards with the heat shield removed. The fact that it has welded in bolts reminds me of how mines looked when I took them off

Absolutely brilliant weekend but I want to add something else since nobody else has. The amount of people who said they were coming and never turned up was an absolute joke!! Martin put out all the cash for food entertainment, showers and toilets out of his own pocket in the expectation that you would be attending! You should have at least had the decency to say ahead that you would not be attending! A total joke that you couldn't spare 5 mins to post up and say that you couldn't come. I wish you could see the costs involved and how much can be potentially lost! Poor show from all who done this! I would be hugely embarrassed by myself if I was you.

Big thanks to everyone who helped organise this, especially Martin and Lexx. Had a fantastic time and although I never got through as much drink as I was supposed to it was very good practice for next year Big thank you to everyone who was there! my car has some serious scratches and chips to the front bumper from the track work in wales. Stone chips on windscreen aswell. Nothing major just tiny tiny little marks so will have to go and get them filled

thats probably similar to mines to be honest. My cars done 27k and service far more than it need to be. It runs like a charm and to be honest with the high temps the engine oil can reach its not suprising that we lose some of the oil vapour
