    Y pipe options

Nice one Bob, will be interested to hear how this sounds as I was considering the same setup but tempted to go Decats and XYZ resonator route They dont sound any different with a different y-pipe usually.
  3. im using standard denso iridium plugs with my nos
  4. Was thinking that myself. What tyres are you using, hows the tread, hows the pressures?
  5. From 02 to 05 the cars had the VQ35DE engine (276bhp) From 06 to the end of 06 the cars had the VQ35DE rev-up which had revised variable valve timing and cams giving a higher rev limit and slightly more power (296bhp but apparently less torque through the range) From 07 onwards the cars had the VQ35HR engine which according to Nissan is 80% different. It has twin intakes and an even higher rev limit and is significantly more powerful. (309bhp and more torque) DB On the dyno the revup has more torque with a little work. Ive yet to see a non revup engine make anywhere near the figures achieved on the revup cars. Except jez's at horsham which is a freak car. There was alot more changes to the revup engine but not as much as the HR which is basically a full new engine. Yep, never driven a rev-up so can only go on the general concensus. I can easily believe that the rev-up responds better to tuning than the boggo DE because of the valve timing and cam tweaks. DB Yeah but both DE models are still good for tuning. When you go to HR they can make big power without too much work, greekmans car ran 340 @ the flywheel but we reckon its due to the way he drives it since the day he took it out the wrapper lmao. With HR there is very limited supercharger/turbo options in the UK
  6. Welcome to the club mate. If you go to the highlands and central section and add your name to the members list it will allow us to give you a shout when theres some stuff on around here. Keep popping by to see if theres anything happening and get yourself out for some fun. Also if you need parts theres a scottish trader who can get you anything There is also a variety of traders who specialise in modification parts etc and also lots who specialise in everything. Welcome to the club

    standard airbox

be prepared to be bent over for a revup box I sold mines for over 90 quid if I remember correctly and that was about a year ago.
  9. +1, imho, if you can go for a HR (with the bonnet bulge and 2 air intakes) then do so, otherwise I personally wouldn't be too tempted by the extra tax of the later pre HR cars. The extra tax is nothing in comparison to the running costs and worth it just for the facelift exterior and upgrade interior and dash even if the op cant afford to go for the HR. In standard form there isnt much between all 3 except visually and gearbox's in the revup and HR cars are much more reliable. less tuning options for the HR. The revup will produce more power than the pre Revup once work is complete down to a variety of things including exhaust cam timing control etc. Depends what your budget is and what you want the car for imo. These factors are the main deciding factors imo.

    Pre v's Post

depends on your insurer. Phone them and find out, nobody on here will be able to give you that info.

    finished

Looks nice but the wing is too much for me. Doesnt flow with the rest of the car. The small oem spoiler on its own would look better I think
  12. That feeling is normal. The clutch on the zed has a few lumps in the travel. One of the traits of the zed gearbox and clutch
  13. I guess you mean "the last pistonheads" one? The Hillington roadster has Avons on Team dynamics Jade-R alloys.

    warm/hot

I found that out the hard way on my journey to japfest. Ended up with a big bag of dairy milk and when it hardened it was too thick to bite into I'm gonna heat wrap my full exhaust system and decats to try and stop as much being lost into the cabin
  15. The last one has ps2's on it which suggests that no expense has been spared on it as they are very expensive tyres and probs the best out there. The last one has rays which is a must on a zed for the feel and handling and overall driving experience
  16. have you put a 370 rear bumper onto your car?
  17. The only option is to cut and reweld where it comes out the rear silencer. Its very hard to bend an exhaust without ruining the shape and flow of it. Hope you get it sorted mate
  18. Why do you want to bend them out ?

    P3 Estimate

Robbed! Wakefield Nissan: £109, £169 and £229 You's are all getting robbed, you are going to nissan.......
  20. fantastic price for those!!!! they look so sexy!!
  21. Both the 350z and 370z are usually understeering when pushing on through corners. This is what makes them a very easy car to drive pretty enthusiastically. The only way it oversteers is if you boot it far too early through the exit of a corner.
  22. Pun intended? Pardon the pun, not intended
