  1. owned a misti GTO and loved every second, but it was really old and cheap (read as "ready to die"). I sold that to get a focus ST3, a car i thought ticked all the boxes, practical, fast, economicalish, etc. But the focus was so disappointing as it had ZERO soul. When I was searching for cars I wanted to have something like the GTO again because I was missing it so badly, I realised I could nicely afford a 350z so after 6 months of focus ownership it got punted off and I picked up the zed that was over 2 years ago and its the longest I've ever kept a car
  2. Haha I know where you're coming from and believe me it was tempting to go 30mm but I'm sticking to my gut feeling on this one Cheers for the kind comments guys, I was getting itchy feet it had been so long since I had done anything
  3. mine would PS: DOLPHINS RULE BATS DROOOL!
  4. cheers forgot to say, used this guide http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Spring_a ... stallation was easy enough, front takes time and spring compressors, backs are simple
  5. bats VS dolphins this has to be done!!! dolphins ftw!!
  6. She got lowered a couple of weekends back but this is the first I've had a chance to give her a clean and take decent pictures Tein springs lowering: 17mm rear 13mm front The ride is great, not to soft and not too hard, much more feel to the car now. Clearance is still perfectly fine, I can get over the monster speed bumps at work still with no issue. For those who will criticise for use of springs instead of coilovers the reasons are; For such a small drop it won't take the dampers out of normal operating range by any meaningful amount, the car doesn't see tracks etc so no reason from an performance point of view, costs a whole lot less so not burning money that can be spent in other areas still plenty of clearance these ones aren't on a level surface but look nice anyway
  7. most of the sensors work with a ultrasonic pulse, when they are active you can put your finger on them and feel the pulse working. so unless the police have started mounting dolphins ontop of the vans in some kind of holywood style bionic speed van this won't work. I picture this like so...
  8. i prefer your vinyl wrapped ones to the real thing. the pillar isn't exactly a heavy object that needs replaced with CF for weight saving so it's all about looks PM rtbiscuit he might have some kicking about
  9. The gearboxes can have manufacturing faults so it may be nothing to do with the way it has been driven. If the current gearbox is sound then I wouldnt worry about that

  14. its a shame as thee chillis are utterly stunning! most are boring silver or rusty orange for some reason. I guess all the ones bought on company car schemes probably have to be silver for resale? thats a random guess though.
