  1. I was reminded earlier of the ultimate annoyance.... The tosspot 'highway officers'!! They REALLY p1ss me off!!!!!! "Ooooooo look Clive, there's someone on the hard shoulder with their hazard lights on! What should we do?" "Good spotting Barry, let's close down the inside lane and cause a 5mile traffic jam and after that, we could park in the 'police lay-by' and pretend to be police!" WHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Everyone managed fine before you bellends came along!! Can anyone give me a proper answer to why these guys exist? For me, these idiots are up there with traffic wardens! T@@ts!
  2. RS4 for me all day long! Love them!
  3. People who refer to the lanes of a motorway as "slow" and "fast"! I'd like to see the outcome if you said that on your driving test!
  4. Slow lane!!! Does this mean you refer to the 'over taking lanes' as the (dare I say it) "fast lanes"? It's a toss up for me. Middle lane hoggers and people who don't indicate......but probably the MLH's. They grip my s**t!
  5. Are you 12? Please do not do this! I saw a Subaru with this and it was so cringe worthy! And for the 28% of you who have said yes, shame on you!!
  6. My favourite so far!! Look how shocked he was to see you there!
  7. That's a very nice bumper!! Subtle and nice!
  8. Would have been better if your first two pics were your zed!
  9. This makes me sad I miss them so much! They look amazing Sam! Really happy for you! I'm sure Geoff-R will be happy to see them back on a black Zed! Now if that was my Zed, clear reflectors, tinted windows and a STUBBY!!
  10. That's the future right there!! I'd have one! That's proper cool!!
  11. Why don't you get straight to the point!?
  12. What digital camera magazine verdict that I think sums it up perfectly. Although compact-like in appearance, don't let the exterior fool you - the Sony NEX-5 produces class-leading images that outshine some stiff competition in the Micro System Cameras sector. Many will love its pick-up-and-shoot ease of use, though it's not without its errors - the lack of buttons for control and amount of menu digging required to adjust options may frustrate more advanced users. Otherwise the AF system is relatively fast and accurate and the variety of creative modes are all very accessible. However, for those looking for a more DSLR-like model with an electronic viewfinder and multitude of function buttons then the NEX may not suit; for those looking for the smallest camera of its type with HD movie capture capability and superb image quality then this is where the NEX-5 really hits the nail on the head.
  13. The only thing i would disagree with you here is the second hand D90. I would go for a second hand 40D or 50D......but I would say that as I'm a canon man it's the old Canon/Nikon divide! Spot on though.
  14. A better chance than before he came along... +1! Are we forgetting about Brown the moron!?
  15. The Sony does 7 frames per second.... But will those 7 frames track a dog or child running towards you in a diagonal ziz-zag in low light using 39 focus points in a 3-D matrix up to ISO 25,600 and keep all 7 frames in focus? If it does then I'm selling my D7000 and buying one. Not crticising your choice as it looks great but if you want SLR functions and speed, you'll need an SLR. Sony wouldn't produce an SLR-killer when they've spent millions (billions?) acquiring Minolta and producing some fantastic SLRs over the last few years. How much did you pay for your D7000? If you want SLR performance, you have to pay for it. With a budget of £450, the Sony is a cracking camera. There's no point comparing these cameras because at the end of the day, it depends on what you want from a camera, how much you want to spend on one and how serious you are. I could have said "well the Sony is a good one but it's rubbish compared to my 7D". What's the point of me saying that because my 7D cost 3 times the Sony.
  16. What? Of course you would, once the shutter is going (and as long as the transfer speed of the memory card is of a sufficient speed) it can carry on all day if it likes, but the initial lag following the autofocus and processor think-time will still be there. If it does do instant-shot just like an SLR then that's great and is a real step forward, but I've never found a single camera that wasn't an SLR that did that. As Sparky said, even the Lumix range (which is superb for a compact) can't do that. My G11 has a quickshot feature and it's pretty rapid! It has the same DIGIC 4 processor as the (not 100% sure here) as the 40D (maybe 50D too). I'm not saying that it competes with an SLR but it's not far off.
  17. The Sony is a micro system camera. SLR spec in a compact body. 7fps is very good.........not quite the 8 that my 7D gets tho
  18. Had They belong to Sam now. He should have some photos up soon
  19. I think this is a superb idea but what happens once those prisons fill up? Who's law would the "British" prisoners come under and I can't help thinking that it would cost more to do this? Best solution......Escape from LA/Newyork!! Perfect!! Move everyone out of the isle of White, erect a massive wall around it and let them crack on!!
  20. In-keeping with its small size the NEX series doesn't provide an electronic viewfinder, instead a fixed-length 16mm optical viewfinder accessory can be purchased separately for around £150. Yes it does a little expensive though!
  21. This has to be one of the best threads ever!! Incredible!! I'm now on the lookout!
  22. It took that long to decide!? I'm pretty sure you can get a view finder that slots into the hotshoe.......John?
