  1. Hello David, Whats wrong with the old engine/turbo? If they are putting a re-conditioned engine in, is it complete or just a short block? If it is a complete re-con engine then the head gasket and timing chain should be done. Give me a call tomorrow if you want some advice. Ross.
  2. Hi Iain The first thing to check is the brake fluid level, if it is on or near the min then it will just need topping up but it might mean that your brake pads are getting low, best to get it checked out properly as the inner pads always wear quicker than the outer ones. Hope this helps Ross.
  3. On age its due a P1 service but on mileage i would go for a P3.
  4. I owned a 2001 model for 2 years and couldn't fault it, brilliant drive and very good engine, though they do use a bit of oil. When buying check the front to rear brake pipes they are prone to corroding just above the rear subframe and are a nightmare and expensive to replace. Also check for a mis-fire from cold lots of recalls for this and leaking rocker cover gaskets.
  5. What about Nissy then, kind of feminem Nismo.
  6. I cant remember which connector it is, i'll have to check the wiring diagram tommorow. I do know you have to disconnect one of the aerial connectors in the boot, on the passenger side.
  7. Congrats Alex Im getting married in September, so trust me you will need to start saving and working 18 hour days ( not to make money, just to get out of making the wedding plans).
  8. No, only if its got Bose, sorry. Do you have jdm sat nav? if so then theres a aerial connector in the boot on the left that needs to be disconnected, had the same problem with the last two jdm stereo upgrades.
  9. Have you connected the amp power wire coming out of the stereo, normally a blue wire.

  16. Ive found Toyo Proxes T1-r's to be a very good tyre, we put them on an evo x for a track day last week and he was very impressed. If you've got someone to fit them then Camskill do them for a good price.
  17. In my experience with the Nissan main dealers that i worked in they only used 10w40 semi synthetic throughout the range as it was too expensive to bulk stock different oils, they even use it in the Navara D40's that strictly have to have 5w30 low ash oil! Quality main dealers!
  18. I've been boarding for about 3 years now and can definitly recommend Les Arcs 1800 in the French alps been there twice now and its really good for beginners and your pretty much guaranteed good snow, also good nightlife. We went to Chamonix this year and had rubbish snow, it was really expensive (8 euros a beer) and some little w****r stole my board from the appartment. Heard good things about Austria, probably going there next year for my stag do! (god help me)! Try the world snowboard guide, found that really useful.
  19. Just to let you know we charge £160 inc parts, labour and VAT for a P2 service (genuine Nissan parts). Just goes to show you how much these main dealers rip people off Charging £360 then £300 then £260 its a joke. There is also a 10% discount for members of this forum.
