  1. If you were to get my system we could hit it all in one go and get it setup properly he works fast too ! here mine with the adaptor plate but you might not need it viewtopic.php?f=27&t=28706&start=15 looks pretty well sorted with just the plate that came with the HU. i gues sit just brand ot brand how lucky you get
  2. wow that close already ! good work considering you got sick , had to wait for stuff , deal wiht the christmas distraction sorry festivities oh and its frrrreeeezing cold.
  3. the leads right , as for the front facia i just went double din last night and needed the new one (came with themain kit from my single din so was ok). the one that came with left a small gap round the out side and new one was a little small to allow the face to fold over so i had to grind it back a bit , if the alpine has no cd then does it need to fold ? if it wasnt such a pita to do id say just try it with out but as its a pain to do and the facia wont be in every local audio shop id say order it to be safe and if its not needed ebay it.
  4. Was thinking a some what more than that as its like new top of the line unit with pretty much every feature bar sat nav ! http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product ... chive=true only says up to 10gb drives but i have a 32 on fine !pm offers please.
  5. firstly id try and get the BT adaptor used as it sonly £100 new and ive seen the odd one floating about on flebay for half that re ipod have you thought about using a laptop hdd instead as unless your using a full ipod classic thenyoud get more space with the drive. also re sat nav pioneer do sell add on nav units that must surely be linkable id be suprised it wasnt. the alpine looks like a good unit too(considerd it myself) but for the price i wasnt that boatherd about the nav add in and went for another jvc and my iphone nav. thers a thread on here about the pioneer and i dint seea bad word about the unit so it must be good.
  6. im sure one or 2 on here have them as ive seen them at meets (sorry cant remember whos car) its my prime suspect for a intake as liek you said its actaully quite cheap (seen it for £212 !!) and fully enclosed. if the quality is up to the usual K n N then it should be top notch.
  7. yes , title edited as im off to get the new one !
  8. open to offers , if nonones interested then i wont bother ripping it out . thought id post here first that than pull unit , stick on ebay and not sell or go for silly money . plus if a member wants it the facia is worht somthing .
  9. litle review on talk audio ..http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/index.php?op ... view&id=92 thin it still sells for just under £300 mark
  10. got some cash for chistmas so if anyone fancies this and the single din facia with cubby im looking for offers . its a couple of years old but still in perfect condition with box , manual etc has usb control for hard drives or flash sticks blue tooth and plays dvd + divx from either the dvd drive or the usb 3pre outs so links fully to a bose car plus another amp for the sub 7 band eq the list goes on the unit was jvc's top of the back in 07 and ost £400 when i bought it . edit .. now a definate sale im going to get the new unit ! pic below
  11. yeah that diffuser is not cheap but its top secret so thats to be expected. front lips range from about £300 for something liek the veilside rep from envy (just got one wating to go on myself once the snows all cleared up) to the crazy £800+ for stuff like the mines one Ian suggested or half way for a gen veilside or a varis for £480 ish skirts are about £600-800 ish
  12. ^^ what Stew said. Mine is a 2002 import, but was imported after March 2006 hence I have to pay £405 (just did a few days ago). Its not fair, but hey what can we do? Tax would be fairer if it was based on emissions and distance travelled, but the government wont do this because its too risky (the income is too flexible, due to some people driving more / less). couldn't agree more! A 1 litre fiesta will pollute more than a zed which only comes out at the weekend. Its all a load of balls. totly right but that would mean that our road tax is spent on the roads up keep which its blatently not ! as for per mile they have a system kinds liek tat for diesels down under (NZ at least) they buy blocks of mileage i believe , dont legally need car insurance either !
  13. feeling for ye , last time i curbed a rim becuase of slip/not concentrating enough i nearly cried. just be thank full the curb wasnt one of those super high ones than can damge your doors. if your lucky the rim and splitter took the brunt of it and thats it .
  14. That was what I was worrying about reading thru the thread, but it doesn't make sense. If I install an aftermarket BT handsfree like Parrott system. I don't lose it by replacing the HU, I just need to get the right harness as all the stereo is doing in receiving the signal to mute and play sound from the unit instead of radio etc which is in use. Surely the Nissan BT system is not the actual Bose HU itself? no open the cenmter console cubby and youl find a little plug in module thats the BT but wiht out the bose HU its a paper weight. get a HU with build in BT + the right harness and youl retain the controls (if your lucky)..... my jvc isnt fully compat so i only have vol and track up not down the telephone voice act button is now source. different makes will map acrross the buttons differntly. my advice go for one thats tried and tested and you should be good to go
  15. you will loose factory BT but can retain steerhweel controls , should have audio in for the voice off the sat nav.
  16. +1 for jdm , i hate the uk style of platesthey just look to long and silly .planning on getting a shorter (less characters) peronsal one for just that reason.
  17. yep , heard it (vids) , like the loks infatc i liek the looka nd sound alot BUT it will be loud as fork !
  18. not sure about the quality , looks abit mickey mouse ! (its a joke , micky mouse ears)
  19. ebay for about a fiver ! dont ahve the seller name as it was a while ago but it was cheap as chips and works fine .
