  1. Well the tips are frighteningly expensive but the only other option is the Titanium ones, which are the same price. Can't give you exact figures right now, as someone who hasnt been told the (true) price is about, but the tips alone were around £400 and the whole CBE including the tips worked out at £1,750ish. Luckily the UK suppliers agreed to deduct the VAT and the postage was also free, so that saved £400 or so. For me it didn't work out massively more than buying a Stillen or Berk from the US and having to pay £150 postage +13% import duty.
  2. Well the day has finally arrived! After a 4 week wait, got a call from the parcel people that they'd be dropping the exhaust off today. Obviously I was out the office at 5pm on the nose to get home Found a HUGE box when I got back, very well wrapped up. Started unpacking all the pipework, muffler and other bubble wrapped packages. Also found a nice sheet of various sized Akrapovic stickers too! All the gaskets, clamps, bolts and tubes of threadlock etc are there, so that was a good start. I've only unwrapped the muffler and tips so far, the rest can wait till Sunday for fitting. The whole thing oozes quality. Tips are gorgeous and although they look massive off, they're actually not that much (maybe 10mm or so) wider than the OEM tips. The muffler (and presumably) the centre pipe is powercoated (?) in a lovely satin silver. Eveything feels much lighter than I thought it would, should be an easy install (famous last words!). Exhaust comes with instructions and warranty booklet, both printed and on CD. Even comes with a little 2" square clear plastic wallet with a street legal certificate in it (probably doesn't bode well for it being majorly load, but I'm happy with that. Here's a few pics
  3. Not had any problems at all with mine as far as the CEL is concerned. They really aren't that bright either, so doubt very much that they'll attract any attention from the rozzers.
  4. Thanks everyone. I like the microsoft mice, especially some of their gaming ones (and that L shaped ones it very cool but only an odd keyboard that matches), but Logitech have the better bundles. Maybe I need to think about a separe mouse and keyboard? Razer stuff is great, I have the Tarantula keyboard (with the gaming keyboard lamp) and mouse on my desktop pc, but I think they're wired onl,y but good shout, I'll check!
  5. Not sure on the Xenons, but these are the ones I got for the sides http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=179
  6. The Mrs has asked for me for the usual Chrimbo wants list. I really could do with a decent wireless KB and mouse, so that I can hook the laptop up to the telly and play games on it. Ideally want a set that will look good on the coffee table too. Anyone got any suggestions for a good set to go for?
  7. All done. Got up early this morning as it realy needed to be fitted during daylight, which means no pre-fitted pics. It was easy enough to fit omn my own in the end. I followed the instructions that other people had posted and doubled up (one on top of the other) the tape than runs along the top of the diffuser and put strips inbetween the strakes. So far I've only managed to fit the fog light bolt and ones either side of that, as my drill it too big to be able to fit under the end of the diffuser, but it's rock solid, so should be fine until I get the car jacked up for the exhuast fitting next week. I actually got a spare pack of the stainless screws, so I think I might paint the heads of the spares and swap them over, although I think they are far enough underneath to be noticeable. The general fit is excellent, well pleased. Anyway, usual pics of it on.
  8. Well the Fujimura rear has now arrived too. Initial impressions are that it's about the same weight as the front (light) but if you put a strong light source behind it you can see through some of the weave! Wont be a problem once it's fitted though, especially with the quartz behind it, not sure whether it would be more visible fitted to a white car. The surface finish is great though. I've 3M taped up the diffuser, so will let that sit for 24 hours and hopefully get it fitted tomorrow night, depending on the weather and if I can get a mate round as it looks like a 2 man job to get an accurate fit. Might need to let the 3M bond until the weekend and then fit the underside bolts - not sure my drill is small enough to get under the bumper to drill the four mounting holes. Will get some pics tomorrow evening, pre and post fitted. Also heard that the Akrapovic has been shipped from the factory today, but it's going via the UK dealer, so will probably be late next week before it arrives, hopefully it'll be dry on the Saturday for fitting!
  9. well I guess the throttle controller only sharpens up the throttle response and gives 100% throttle in the lower gears, whereas a tune will make any other goodies - intake, exhaust, plenum etc work sweeter?
  10. Apparently you don't need a throttle controller with a tune
  11. Well it's been peeing down all day, but if it's dry tomorrow I'll get a few more pics. Really need some sun to show it off properly I think, dull and damp isn;t doing it justice! Should have the rear one early next week, but it's a bit trickier to fit so will have to wait until next weekend to fit it (if impatience doesn't get the better of me)
  12. CF is a bit like Marmite though I suppose - you either love it or hate it! I had thought about just getting them DiNoc CF wrapped, but no-one over here does it, so getting a proper CF cover was the only option if I wanted the fangs (and rear bit) done. I won't be adding any other CF on the exterior, just the front and rear bits. Will probably only be adding it to the interior on the AT transmission gate too. Oh, and forgot about the exhaust tips too. Couple of (rainy) daylight ones;-
  13. Looks much better than I thought it would, but really need to see it in daylight. It certainly seems to go well with the quartz though, quite subtle. It wasn't done for the weight saving, although TBH it's really pretty light. If I go for a turd before I drive I reckon it'll break even on the weight difference
  14. Well it was the fang cover. Opened it up and checked it over. Must say that the quality is great, couldn't find any bubbles or dodgy areas in the CF at all. I gave it a test fit and it's a VERY tight fit. So tight that it did leave a few scratches on the edges of the bumber fangs. It didn't have any directions as to where to use the 3M tape, so just went along with what I thought. It's such a tight fit that I ended up having to take off the tape along top, flat section. Anyway, it's all fitted now. Seems strong enough, but I'll have to keep checking over the next few days to make sure it bonds properly and doesn't unstick anywhere - Certainly dont want it dropping off and falling under the car! Pics are a bit crap, but I'll get a few more during daylight tomorrow. Looking forward to getting the rear Fujimura one now!
  15. Just had a call from my mate that works at the post office, to say that he's just dropped off a long parcel at my house Roll on 5pm. I;m guessing that it's probably the CF fang cover
  16. You could always considering registering an offshore company, putting the property and mortgage into the name of that company, that way you wont be liable for any capital gains tax when you do eventually sell the property at a later date. Might not be worth it depending on the value of the property though?
  17. Yeah I keep telling my Mrs to stop waving her bra out the window, but she nevers listens!

  19. Got a reply on the370z.com. Actually seems pretty simple! The metallic section at the bottom slides down and a clip is removed and off it pops!
  20. Cheers Chris Mine's a 3GS too! The phone works fine, just the iPod function.
  21. I thought that, but the I think the knob looks a bit to fat. I'll have a crack at making a cardboard template of the gate tomorrow and see if it works. Failing that I might try emailing RSW and see how it's done.
