  1. Yeah one end clips on to the pedal side fine but the other end (that presumably goes to the ECU) pushes in but doesnt feel that secure. If I rotate that 180 degrees it wont go in at all. I've emailed the seller and ordered a replacement, then I'll return the duff one for a refund. Hopefully I'll have more luck with the new one.
  2. cheers, but I couldn't get the plugs to clip in the other way round, seems they'll only plug in one way?
  3. yeah the port is fine as the OBD reader works fine
  4. Just received my throttle controller but can't get the bugg*r to work. Easy enough to connect up and have checked all the connectors which seems to be fine, but the fecker isn't switching itself on. The pins in the OBD plug are a little loose, but even taking the pins out and plugging them in to the port directly (pins 5 & 16), still hasn't made any difference. Any ideas?
  5. Looks like a good excuse to get the Karcher and snow foam out!
  6. My old boxster which I flooged to get the Z
  7. If you cant find one let me know, as I've got one, but i'd prefer to sell it with the cradle bit as well.
  8. Been keeping an eye out for one of these for while....I'll watch the auction and bid providing it doesn't go for silly money. Anyone got a piccy of one fitted to an Azure?
  9. Sextons didn;t have the 29-020 steering wheel cable and don't let them convince you otherwise! They told me that the 29-007 was the same, and it isn't so I wasted a week and had to remove and reinstall the console twice. I went straight to InCarTech in the end. Sextons are fine for the 29-674 loom (if you need that one) and the DDin facia. I bought the ipod cable and DVD bypass off fleabay.
  10. I used a normal double din facia and you'll aslo find a plastic "filler" (looks a plastic photo mount) that comes with the HU...I need to cut this down to the outside edges of the double din facia to hide the gaps at the top and bottom (the facia is about 5mm too large in height....dont be tempted to reducee ths size of the square "hole" in the centre of this mount as it's need a bit of a gap for the facia of the HU to slide down when you insert a CD/DVD. Sounds diffcult but it'll make sense when you have the facia and the mount in your hands. Price sounds about right. The correct steering wheel control cable for it is a 29-020 - DON'T get the 29-007 - it wont work
  11. I ran mine through the cubby down the hole and then through the left of the console, so that it pops out behind the passenger seat. Then feed it under the edge of the console as you move forwards, then poke it up behind where the aircon controls are and up to the headunit. It looked virtually impossible to feed it through the console itself. As Rob said, well worth popping a ground cable in too.
  12. Hmmm......can't really help here as it's pretty much a plug and play.... One end into the HU external remote input and the other into the white connector on the black box. Sure you've definately got the right connector? Might be worth phoning ICT (InCarTech - 01392 829435) and checking that it's the right one for your HU. I found that I had the wrong one for my Pioneer.
  13. Try it without. I found mine worked fine without a ground wire, but only found that out after I'd dicked about soldering ground wires in! As you already said that you have power you shouldn't need too. has the blue/white wire sorted it?
  14. On the HU loom & ICT cable......have a look at page 4 of the Kenwood installation manual. It's at the bottom of the page. There's a blue/white wire from the kenwood wiring that needs to be connected the blue/white wire on the 674 loom. That'll send the signal that switches the amp on. Check out half way down this thread, for pics:- http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=19787
  15. Might sound stupid, but have you tried turning the HU volume right up? I note that the 5024 only has a 2v preout which isn't much! Did you connect the blue/white HU wire, that switches the amp switch on cable? Maybe the amp isn't turning on if you haven't!
  16. OK, so that B connector should go into the HU external remote socket. RCAs are as follows:- Yellow RCA = Left Rear Black RCA = Right Rear White = Left Front Red = Right Front
  17. The 674 loom should have 4 RCAs - Black Yellow and Red and White. I can only see the red and white ones in your pic? B looks like the blue remote turn on wire. On my Pioneer this plugs into a blue wire with a bullet connector on the pioneer cable, but as you have power already maybe it's not required? The steering wheel control cable is a separate cable - doesnt come with the 674 - you buy it seperately. It has a 3.5mm jack one end and a small white connector on the other end that plugs into the black box on the 674 cable. If "A" is the car speaker cables (which it looks like) this is spare and doesn;t plug in anywhere as the RCA's provide the signal to the AMP instead.
  18. Another quick update. Whilst fitting the 29-020 steering cable at the weekend I accidentally knocked off the satnav power cables. When I reconnected the cables and switched the ignition on to check it was OK, the headunit came on....what was strange is that the ground cables I'd soldered in (as per the thread on how to prepare the ISO loom) weren't grounded! I can only presume that you don't need to add any ground wires to the loom and can literally just plug the loom in the car plugs and headunit and away you go - no dicking about!
  19. I bought a demon plates one a couple of months ago - the type with the chavtastic raised carbon effect numbers. Had no hassle from the local rozzers yet....
