I thought it was the worst Top Gear ever - enough to make me wonder if i'll bother watching the next series. They go on and on for ages about trying to make an Ad for VW (so long that I hit the fast forward on sky+) and then didn't make a proper review of the best car on the program - they could have closed with the Aston in wales after giving it a good thrash and a track test. By the way, it looks great in the metal (I was at Gaydon last week so saw all the Astons in the car park)

The owner's guide for the 313 has recommended max speeds in 1st, 2nd and 3rd on page 5-8 These are 40mph in 1st, 66mph in 2nd and 95mph in 3rd. remember the 313 will rev to 7500

I thought I'd seen somewhere that 168-170 is the theoretical top speed, not sure if that's for an '06 or the later 313s

+1 Try the Chillie's, they had some in the past.

I had to travel to China and Japan on business over the last 7 years and can recommend you go to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City (both done from Beijing). Avoid the tour that does 4 pales in a day, it only give a hint of any on them. You need at least 1/2 a day for the Great Wall and a full day for the Forbidden City. The Summer Palace is good if it's sunny and the echoing wall at the Temple of Heaven has to be experienced. Again, these are in Beijing. I didn't get to go to Xi'an but you need 1 or 2 days minimum there. I hear that the tour on the Three Rivers gourge going downstream from ChongQing is a good trip as well.
