  1. That could be tricky considering I have german and austrian family
  2. I might cancel them now, the game ended a draw Ah well, still got money on germany for the overall win
  3. is that right? iv got money on france this game so depending on the result i could call them back
  4. replacement rear pair was sent earlier today and will be with customer tomorrow exactly as discussed on sunday afternoon. as said in my previous post, the only thing stopping delivery now is a RAF missile strike on the van
  5. thanks for the replies guys and the kind words just to clear a few things up here... as its got a bit messy un-neccessarily without me even getting a chance to sort what i said i would earlier today since its sunday a quick run down on the spacers for everyones benefit atleast 2 years ago now, the spacers i first started suppling to members of the forum were advertised on the basis of allowing up to 7 days if work was busy and orders were high ( but were still often completed and sent in 2-3 ), at that time i only traded on a handful of forums and had little local reputation except through friends and family word of mouth. since business has progressively got better, i now trade on many forums, get plenty word of mouth, and have established myself locally a lot more too. i have had to change this time to up to 14 days ( yet still quite often had this done in less than 7 ) as during a busy phase the backlog can become huge. i am a single man business, as is the cnc machine shop i use. orders are reasonably busy right now and have been for the last couple of weeks for machined work iv needed done. what really messed things up was the unfortunate illness the lad had with 10 days off work and 1 week of that in hospital. in the 2-3 years plus that i have known him, he has never once been off work or closed except for public holidays, very reliable, and more recently, instead of me taking the stock myself ( unless local customers ), he has been able to post it out direct for me, cutting down the 1-2 days postal time. this has been a great help because there are always people that want their stuff quickly, despite knowing they are not being taken from a large stockroom with vast amounts of ready spacers. for atleast 6 months i have been able to operate by filling in the order for him and providing him with the postal details, with the confidence of knowing he will take care of them and post. works out great for me. now that everyone knows the basic run down of the spacers, i will clear up the situation between myself and roger upon receiving your initial PM/email a week or two ago asking about the whereabouts of your spacers, i admit on this occasion that i should have replied instantly by the end of that day after trying to get in contact with the machinist with no answer. at this stage i had no idea he was sick and in hospital and i carried on trying to contact him everyday. due to me forgetting to message you back to let you know the situation, i received your other emails and messages where i can understand your frustration at first not knowing exactly when you were going to receive them but that was out of my hands, i hadnt heard back from the machinist at that stage and i would let you know when i hear something. typically, i did hear back when he got out of hospital next day and i was informed that the backlog ( at that time 6 orders ) of spacers would be taken care of in a few days when he was back in shop. at this stage i messaged you back again as i said i would and let you know the situation and that he would be back in and they would be done as soon as possible. as it happens, as a favour to me, the poor lad who only got back to work on the wednesday or thursday if my memory serves me correct, should have had an easy return to work and a chance to enjoy his bank holiday weekend. he stayed in on saturday and what i didnt know til later at night next day when he texted me, most of sunday too! he got yours done on monday, booked in with courier on tuesday, and they were with you wednesday last week. personally, i thought this was excellent turnaround given the work he would have to catch up with from the various industries as well as mine. its just typical of the incredable bad luck this particular order has had, that the products you received on wednesday have got this bolt issue on just one spacer, but as we discussed earlier this afternoon on the phone i have a quick and painless solution. I cant do anything about it until monday morning though. im quite suprised to see this thread to be honest - A. the times of the posts being from 7pm ( on a sunday night ) onwards, and B. the content. especially given its title and the fact i thought we knew what was happening following our phonecall this afternoon - New spacers, fitting problem.... we know what the problem is mate.. and i said id get right on it on monday morning and get back to you. it does come across as being written in bad taste which i dont feel is fair. im not even getting a chance to do what i have to do tomorrow... solution is simple, as i discussed earlier today, i am expecting a batch of 20mm and 25mm spacers to be sent to me tomorrow, as soon as they arrive you are going to get your 25mm rears sent straight away in the post...the only thing stopping this from happening now would be a continuation of bad luck and a RAF missile strike takes the courier van out of the game! I understand your frustrated, honestly i do, believe me, i have waited and waited for things before, ended up getting damaged goods, wrong goods, faulty goods, the lot, i should have a tshirt. there has been a very genuine reason here at the heart of all this, and it is someone being in hospital, someone crucial in this case for the flow of business. the 10 days he was off really mixed things up. but i believe he has done a great job with catching up. appologies again for being quiet in the first few days, i genuinely forgot i hadnt messaged you back. since then i was under the impression contact beween us was good and we were both on same page. also, appologies for not answering your 4 or 5 missed calls this morning. i was at knockhill for a few hours for the time attack and i left my phone in the car. and technically i dont work saturday sunday i am a very genuine and nice guy as the people who know me and have met me away from forum life. i WILL sort this for you but give me a chance. i value my customers a lot and always try my best for them. im still quite young approaching 27, im learning how to deal with things better all the time as business continues or if any problems arise. appologies also to everyone for any spelling/grammar mistakes above that may have been included in this post. i have had a long day and only just settling down for bed after building a new pc, now... to get my 3 or 4 hours sleep!
  6. hmmmm different offsets but that shouldnt be a problem with the caliper, certainly not what i have anyway. back to the drawing board..... thanks mate, and nice car!

    New Rota Grids

very nice mate, dont worry about the tyre comments, its not everyones thing personally i love tyre stretch with certain looks, although id say the front could use a little more but yeah, needs to go lower next to complete the look heres, mine with a test tyre, 225 on a 10
  8. alright folks worked out the stretch i wanted and got my new tyres a couple days ago, got them fitted, and went to put the wheels on yesterday. problems... they do not go on the hub. the spokes dont clear the brembo caliper. the wheels are 18x10 et+5 all round. to clear the caliper it looks like its gonna be atleast 10mm, perhaps up to 15mm. i only had an old used 20mm spacer lying around so i put it on just to see this then leads to my next problem... with the 20mm spacer the wheels once they were put on stick out like a beach buggy. id say approx 3 inches outside of the arches with the 20mm on i was expecting them to stick out but not that far, i wasnt planning on needing spacers and any wheel and tyre sitting out of the arch i was going to overcome with pretty serious camber, and a slight arch pull if neccessary i am going for a Hella Flush style look eventually but right now, it just looks Hella GASH! got a couple of questions id really appreciate accurate answers too, as the solution to this problem could depend on it what is the dimensions of the OEM Brembo caliper, in particular, the width as if you were looking directly through it from front of car to the rear. is there a PDF technical drawing anywhere i could see? and the same question goes to big brake kit calipers, in particular - Ksport 8 pot, D2 8 pot or AP racing 6 pot and for anyone else who has GT-C's, did you also clip the caliper and have to use a spacer? and yes or no, what size and offsets are you? thanks in advance
  9. if Toms spacers are not what you want, feel free to drop me a message
  10. oem 18 inch wheels work perfectly with a 20/25mm combo, its pretty much the standard choice people take. i personally dont have any pictures but im sure others do
  11. yeah, 20 and 25mm, its the usual choice
  12. wow nice pics im going to fort wiliam and glencoe on sunday, i shall take some pics too, hopefully the weather is just as good, fingers crossed
  13. dont get on that often but xbox360 is what i use, and username is RampantErsePoke battlefield3 is what id play the most, or fifa12, occasionally forza4. infact, who am i kidding, i love gaming!! football manager on the pc, even minecraft has been known to chew up hours of my time lol!
  14. i used to work as a designer with an oil company so i know where your coming from. for the last 2-3 years since i changed paths due to family reasons, a part of my business has been along these lines of offering an alternative to the higher budget spacers and i have been able to offer made to order spacers at a competative prices starting from £65. manufactured by a CNC machine shop im very close in contact with and have been for years. i started out here on this forum as they do seem to be popular, but i am on various forums now offering the service. its not that easy a market to get into i must admit, a lot of people are attracted to brand names such as the eibach and H&R spacers, and also tend to stick to traders they are familiar with, certainly my 1st year or so wasnt all that exciting for this kind of thing theres a few different spacer suppliers on a range of budgets here so unsure how things would take off, i could see there being a market for things like air division plates, maybe some shiny engine bits, a unique strut brace would be cool, most of the Z braces look boring, and those that do look cool are a huge hike in price. gearbox and diff braces? i know there was a market for that on the rx7.
  15. oh my!!! this is the engine swap i have been considering for the winter, this and the LS from the corvette superb car

  19. for now i am using DBA discs with ferodo ds2500 pads and im very very impressed with the results. i was going to go for a big brake kit, but i have no intentions of using the car on track or drift this year so im holding off for now until i go for an engine build over winter. as has been said, i wouldnt bother about going for a big brake kit if you are just after looks. you also have the issue that is if you are going for performance, you are not going to get the optimum results from a set of 20's either. brembos, dba, ferodo combination has my vote for hard road use. still good for light track use too
  20. hey folks we got these made up for a customer who got hit with sudden financial commitment elsewhere and had to put all car part buying on hold. completely brand new and unfitted no need to allow for 7-10 days. these are made and ready to go right away with no delays 20mm - £75 25mm - £80 prices are delivered
