  1. Anybody tried one of these? Sounds like you may be able to make the traction control a bit less intrusive... http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/bulletins/152_HBM.pdf
  2. Like that a lot - looks great Didn't know the OE 370 exaust was a true dual out the box.
  3. Nice colour... Although I'm Biased looks great.. good luck with the sale.
  4. Found the site... According to this, your speedo will read 4% higher with the new tyres. at what would have read 67MPH on your speedo, it will now read 70MPH... have a look at this: http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp
  5. Changing to that size tyres will make the ride harsher for sure, as less sidewall to soak up the bumps. Would also think you will be more at risk of damaging your alloys over our nasty pot holed roads On the plus side, it may give you sharper feeling turn in... Your speedo will read slightly higher for the same speed if you switch to these tyres... but not by much I think.

Do Z's have a 155mph limiter like german cars?
  7. Have to say, really like the idea of them. Only thing to me is, to me, the interior looks worse than the 350Z...
  8. Hard work getting there, but sounds like you got a result in the end
  9. So they get 400bhp out of 2 litres? How do they make that lag free?
  10. This looks really impresive - nice work! Would definitly try and get the fueling checked / get it mapped before driving it too much though.... Very easy to clobber an FI engine if the fueling is out.
  11. One thing that supprised me living with the Z day to day was the road noise... On the motorway its pretty loud. Worth considering if you you do a lot of motorway miles...
  12. I also used to have a quite heavly tunned Fiat coupe 20VT. I do miss the way you got a massive thump in the back as the turbo kicked, and it nearlly always shocked passengers who hadn't been in the car before The possitive is also the negative, as you don't get that frustrating lag with the 350z NA engine, and you can be much more acurate applying the throttle as the response is more instant an linear. Think the 350Z is a nice engine - it pulls really well through the rev range. Overall a much more fun driving package from my point of view
  13. Think the Z is a car you can have more fun with day to day on the public roads. Big torquey engine, and on the limit it's quit forgiving. The s2000 you have to rev the hell out of it to get the best which on public roads can get you in to trouble, and if you do push it a bit hard it's not so forgiving. Think on a track it may be the other way round though, with the s2000 being more rewarding?
  14. just to add to this, somtimes esp can correct things even the most talented driver can't as it can brake indidual wheels to stop a spin... I agree at times it can be too heavy handed though...
  15. Hi, as above - I understand some of the later versions of the 350Z have revised plenums with less restriction to the airflow for the front cylinders. Is it possible to one of these on an older 03 Z? Thanks Paddy
  16. Thanks Mark - can you confirm on the ecu map switching ? Does it need to be a later model z with gen 2 ecu to be able to have more than one map?
  17. So can the 276bhp cars take multiple switchable maps via the cruise control buttons, or is that only possible on the newer cars? Really like the idea of having a vallet map, as well as some more power Thanks
  18. LOL at some of the suggestions! This is the button on the center arm rest bit... my esp button is near my right knee
  19. Hi, Just wondered what the best exaust to get for a deeper than OE sounds is? Don't really want loader, just a deeper sound. Thanks Paddy
  20. Hi, I have a 2003 350Z GT - just wondered what the 3rd button that is blank on my car (next to the heated seats switches) would be on cars that use it? Geeky I know, but I have to know that kind of stuff! Thanks Paddy
  21. speedo's can be conservative compared to sat nav, as they have to run on tyres that have different amounts of tread, which chnages the rolling radius. How worn are your tyres? If they are close to the end, your speedo will be over reading more... Cheers
  22. Thanks for the replies guys. Come from the Fiat coupe 20vt back ground, so things were a little different on that bosch ecu! Cheers Paddy
