  1. Do Z's normaly use a lot of oil? My oil level appears to have hardly moved in the last 8 months(although the dipstick is properly rubish!)
  2. Second that - Eibach make good quality prodcts too Eibach or H&R would be my choice ... On my 20VT Coupe the H&R fit was closer than factory on the hubs, and they took a pot hole big enough to buckle a 6 month old alloy without damage to the hub centric spacer. Light wieght and well made products
  3. Time has come to sell my car after a year and a bits enjoyable motoring She's a Nissan 350z 2003 53 plate (Registered December 2003) UK Car, 73,000 Miles. Full GT spec Sat Nav Rays 18" alloys Heated electric leather seats Cruise Control, and Steering wheel controls for the stereo. Brembos Aftermarket tonneau cover High end sound system Bose speaker setup kenwood 503u head unit - Colour matching lighting, so it matches the dash lights perfectly Also has the module for steering wheel controls, so these are still fully functional (rare on aftermarket head units on these cars). Plays back CD's, WMA, MP3, AAC. Will also accept USB sticks, and ipod connection in the front USB socket. Also have added an addtional module for ipod playback / control with the ipod stored in the arm rest storage space. Much neater with the ipod out of sight, and no wires on show. Kenwood bluetooth module. Allows bluetooth phone calls, and music playback Remote control. Would say the car is in good condition. A couple of thumb nail dings from car doors being opened onto her, and some curbing on the rims of the alloys (previous owner ). I always let the car warm up properly before letting the revs go above 3000 RPM Full service history - all Nissan bar the last service which was done by Dixon Motorsport using higher quality oils (Silkolene Fully synth all round). Dixon comented that the car was in good mechanical condition. Last service was a full P3 including spark plugs, gearbox, and diff oil change. Also brake fluid flush, so next service should be much cheaper cheaper! Good Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Tyres all round. Brake pads changed in the last 1000 miles 12 Months MOT Sale include original Bose head unit, as well as the new uprated Kenwood system. 4. It's worth getting a well known brand when buying these... something like H&R etc that is TUV or CE approved as this is a part you really don't want to fail...
  5. Think the idea is you can't see through the small gap between the strut brase and the back of the boot, as a security thing so theives can't see what you have there....
  6. Interesting, but not really my cup of tea

    New Alloys :D

I like! much prefer darker gunmetal sort of shad wheels
  8. Havn't heard of that happening before. Most of the time when people think they have warped the discs it's usualy just uneven deposits of pad matterial on the disc. Have you tried doing a few controled applications of the brakes (ie 60 down to 30) without actually alowing the car to come to a standstill - that may help...
  9. Indead. I hear that powefull rear wheel drive cars notice these patches of oil or desiel more easily
  10. I think a light smear on the back, and a tiny bit on the contact point where the hub sticks out if its metal. I guess if you don't have plastic spigot rings in your spacer there it won't be an issue. Had these on my Fiat coupe, and like Beavis says, they can be a b*gger when you need to get them off
  11. Me too - have been on track days in my Z, and had no problem lighting up both back wheels Perhaps the viscous coupling on your car is shot? Also, didn't some jap import cars not have the viscous coupling?
  12. Thought the 350 had a viscous coupling in the diff.... couldn't you just get a thicker type of fluid in that?
  13. I like the engine on the new ones too - Nice 5 pot warble, bit like the old schoold audi quatro's
  14. Just received my tyres - Overall look very good A couple of them look like they have less then 500 miles on them Worth the wait - Many thanks Bennett Will bung a couple of pics up later! Now does anyone know any good tyre fitting places in Wimbledon?
  15. Can they control the settings on the stability control as well as the traction control, or just traction contol? Thats what I thought was kind of unique about the blackbox
  16. Hmm. Looks like the people who sell it have changed... http://eemotiv.com/?pagename=products
  17. Was thinking might be good for the road for stopping the traction control kicking in so agresivly, but still having a bit of safety of stability control there. Or reducing understeer a bit on the track, and allowing some fun. Some other cars have multistage stability controls that allow you certain drift angles before they kick in, so you can have some fun with the esp on but still might have a potential to rescue something if you really stuff it up Stability control can help you get out of some situations that you couldn't get of with just opsite lock by braking individual wheels.... Was just a thought...
