Sounds like some kind of aftermarket tint.
You could always try to remove it, but be careful when you do as the unknown factor would be the kind of adhesive on the tint film and you don't want to damage your rear screen demister lines.
For the winter I used FinishKare 1000P for the whole car, durable finish, but can be hard to work with.
Once it gets warmer again it's back to Dodo Juice White Diamond
Fitting should be easiest with the front wing removed as it allows you to align the door square to the body and full access to the door hinge mechanism that is replaced by the vertical door kit.
Depending on damper location, minor modding of the inner wing may be required
Yes, but Madmarky splashed out on the good quality ones from VDC or LSD or whatever they're called.
AFAIK the kit was around £900 because the gas shocks that hold the door up are heavy duty.
On cheaper kits, the gas damper seem to loose pressure over time and/or aren't up to the task in the first place.
Be cautious and ask seller questions before purchase
That's a good idea, you get to stay in bed all day whilst people wait on you hand and foot
Ahhh, beat me to it.
Personally, if it was anybody, I'd be Wolverine with Tony Starks intelligence and wealth
