Especially this one as he’s painted I’d metallic grey with a few colours of pearl flakes. Didn’t sit well with red, would’ve looked ok on black or white maybe Black with work well on red. Was unsure on gloss/satin/matte but going satin with gloss emblem

Could do with a photo of the full front end but went for a drive once it was done Also ordered some satin black paint for the grille so that’s for next weekend

Had some sunshine and a free afternoon so made a start on removing some more bits Eyelids and carbon eye make up now gone, no idea what he was thinking with the carbon vinyl below the headlights Also debadged the rear but still need to remove the adhesive residue

Thanks for all that Its a 2003 350gt in chilli red so same as a zed. I think it’s single stage? Planning on keeping it long term so even if it’s a small benefit I’ll probably try a sealant Is CanCoat a lacquer or ceramic coating?

From what I understand wax won’t protect from paint fade over years as it’s not protective against UV rays, only sealants offer that? Got plenty of wax, wanted to protect it before waxing. Taking this detailing malarkey up a notch

Looking to add some products to my kit and with having a red car now I need a UV protective sealant Searched and Zaino Z3 was mentioned a few times. Any others to recommend? Also I take it sealant goes on after polishing and before wax?

Saw 2 earlier today on the M6 northbound towards Carlisle 1st was a mkII nismo, we acknowledged each other, not sure if they’re on here 2nd was parked at the todhills rest area near the border

Got them on my 350gt and was very impressed with the comfort. Mine is set fairly low, not sure exactly how the dampers were set. But yea, considering my daily is smooth as silk these were much better than I expected, especially for a budget set up I already had aftermarket arms on mine so not sure what’s required on that front
