  3. That episode was not a high point. I know a lot of Top Gear in close to the bone but the middle east one was probably the most culturally insensitive I have seen yet.

    Got a new camera

vast majority are unedited, straight off the camera. A couple of the recent ones have the sharpness turned up and the contrast altered slightly with the canon editing tool. But minimal input at that, I prefer to try and master the art of a good photo without relying on a computer. Only had the camera 3 months.

  7. cheers for the input. From my research, I think I would like the newspaper download function on it, via 3G. Anyone tried it? Seems to give a month for approx £10.
  8. I have EBC yellowstuff on brembo rotors. No issues so far, used them for 9 months. Good bite from cold.
  9. Any one got one? Thoughts on same? Cant psychologically justify £500 plus on an iPad, but a kindle 3G seems like a good punt at £150. I am aware they are fundamentally different things, but eBooks are the direction I want to go in and from what I hear, the basic free 3g web browsing would be good for email/reading news website on the go.
  10. I got a Canon EOS 500D about a month ago and it is excellent. Here is a thread with two unedited pics as an example. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=41913 You can pick up a kit with the 18-55mm lens brand new for about £490, try www.camerapricebuster.com for some good internet deals on a bunch of different cams.

come off the bridge, take the first left off the roundabout and its about 1-2 mins down the road towards tayport. The one next to be bridge has too much ambient light for a good night shot.

its dundee, looking across from over the tay bridge, its called tayport
  13. The one in Vienna is nice. Try the gluhwein (mulled wine), and if you fancy something a little more interesting, ask them to put some schnapps in it for you. That little fire cracker is known as a 'Turbopunsch'!

  17. Have a look at Oris. Solid swiss movement, understated and classy. Should find plenty in that price range too.
  18. Finished the book yesterday, well written with a good balance of TG stuff against racing/army pursuits. All kudos to the man.
  19. cheers mate, will have a look around
  20. Sounds good chief, what kind of zed were you in? I see a few on my commute
  21. Quality. I often dictate letters from hospital, and can never be sure what the secretary will hear on the tape and transcribe, I always proof read before signing!
  22. The prev owner of my car obviously wore a ring, the plate with the gear pattern is very scratched and worn away. Anyone got any solutions for replacement without replacing the whole part? Its in good condition and would rather avoid. Maybe something metal to stick to the top of it?
  23. That was prob me mate, heading to work.
