  1. Received and fitted, plenty of rain about to test them as well. Work well at speed, annoying squeak at low speed though. Dont come with the spoiler bit, not sure if you need that seem to work ok without. But for £7,
  2. Just ordered a set for the Roadster will report back....
  3. I've got an 05 Roadster with 30k ish miles and wouldn't part for less than £10k, from looking on autortrader if you're not looking at an import I think you'd be lucky to find one for any less than that. Cheapest one on aurotrader within 100 miles of me (east sussex) is £9k and that isn't a GT model.
  4. Was just about to complain I didn't get one the other day, thought I'd check my profile and I hadn't entered my DOB Got to wait a whole year now to benefit! Good idea though.
  5. Wow, is that true? If so great news How do I go about buying plugs from Zman? Sorry bit of a novice!
  6. Thanks, might just do that! Also looking at the service checklist it says the cambelt should be changed after 5 years or 54k miles, having done 30kish do I need to get them to do this as well, any ideas on cost?
  7. Hi guys, I have an 05 roadster it has been serviced every year but I think only minor services as I don't do many miles. I have done approx 2,500 each year for the last 3 years so not a lot. Just spoken with my local Nissan garage who said I should have the spark plugs changed at a cost of £95+VAT+labour taking the basic service up to £320 Is it worth getting serviced at all as I do so few miles, or if it is, presumably sparks are something I could do quite easily myself? Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers Pete
  8. Cheers stuarty but didn't realise you were based at the other end of the Uk! Would be cheaper to pay someone over the odds round here than to drive there and back!
  9. Ah, fair enough then, I'll keep driving round in my scratched Z a bit longer then Oh for the funds to make her beautiful again, sigh!
  10. Or me! I do the same, the wife has a silver Civic, think it confuses people!
  11. The petrol cost to Motherwell will cost more than the spray! Thnaks though
  12. Seriously though, do you think your mate would be interested in a 'club members rate' obviosuly not as good as mates rates but I'm sure a lot of people would be interested.
  13. Looking to get rid of my Honda Civic keeping the Z, so do need another car with 5 seats and the boot space will come in very handy.
  14. Hello all, Thinking of getting a second hand Subaru Impreza 2.5WRX Estate. Will probably be around and 07 model as budget about £8k. Anyone had one of these before anything I need to look out for, or known problems etc? Cheers guys Pete
  15. Just seen Alfa 159 2.4 JTDM Q4 Lusso (rolls off the toungue doesn't it) on autotrader (thanks rtbiscuit ) 0-60 8.3 combined mpg 39, 210 bhp sounds like the perfect fit £12,695 too so looking good. Never had one but obviously know all the horror stories of Alfa reliability, anyone got any experience with one?
  16. Thanks for answers so far. I live at the bottom of a very big hill and the snow (I know we're moving away form that for 8 months hopefully!) caused such problems getting to work etc that the missus now wants a 4WD, I can't stand Chelsea tractors so looking for a compromise. Diesel seems like the best option to get the mpg up. Will be selling Z for hopefully circa £12k and a Civic for around £8k 'profit' going towards much needed work on the house. Civic has been day to day car and Z for fun/weekends so need the mpg to match the Civic if possible and I'll have to buy a new Z in a few years when I can afford to run two cars again, hopefully!
  17. TT is a good call, but I'd feel like a traiter selling the Z and getting a TT, spend years telling people why the Z is better!
  18. Fair point, but apart from my first car (1.1 Fiesta!) I've never owned a car that has 0-60 in more than 10 seconds, plus all the time I can't find one it gives me an excuse to keep hold of the Z!
  19. Hello all, Got a budget of about £15k looking for a 4wd (preferably not a 4x4 but if needs must) that has decent MPG (35+) but is still fun to drive, golden rule 0-60 less than 10 seonds Any suggestions? Struggling to find anything other than Scubby's (amazing drive but shocking mpg) Mazda 6 MPS same problem, and thats about it in 'normal' car shape and 4x4 are generally too slow or have no MPG. Audi A3 Quattro is looking best at the mo but the diesel isn't that quick and the 3.2 V6 doesn't do the MPG! Cheers
  20. Thanks Dan I'll give it a go Just googled silica bags, and they seem to come in different sizes, any idea what a good size bag for this job is?
  21. Hi guys, I have a roadster and I seem to be getting a load of condensation lately, I don't use the car much and unfortunately it lives on the road so gets no protection. Sometimes when I get in I have to squeegie (spelling?) the window and wipe up with a cloth its that bad. Anything I can do to remedy? Are my seals on the blink? If so any idea at cost to fix? Thanks a lot Pete
  22. I sold my MG ZR to them and got £700 more than the p/x price, not as much as I would have got privatley probably but no cost to me, no dodgy emails for the scammers on autotrader and all done same weekend no hanging around waiting for the phone to ring. I agree its not great but it does what it says on the tin! Thinking of selling the Z and they offered £9k, just walk away if its a bad price must be worth £13k on a private sale.
  23. Not much love for the chrome!! I had a quote for a chrome wrap for whole car, came back at £3.5k which (as expcected!) is out of budget but I don't think I'd have ever got out
