  1. Sorry guys, I had a PM from someone else first so am arranging with him. Thanks for replying all the same. Pete
  2. Hello all, For sale a very good condition outdoor cover for a 350Z Roadster. I bought it from one of the traders on here a number of years ago, relatively soon after moved to a house with double garage then baby meant selling the Z so not used a huge amount. No rips, tears, thin patches etc, comes with a cable to run under the car to tie it on and a (admittedly slightly crappy) padlock. I forget what I paid but was well over £100. Say £50 posted. Shout with any questions. Thanks for looking Peter
  3. Hello, I've not been on here for a long time as sold my Z in 2015 - sad times! I have an unused set of Tein Bonnet Dampers - I bought them on here years ago but couldn't work out how to fit them so gave up! From a quick google cost online seems to be around £120 but say £75 as I'm just having a clear out. Let me know if interested. Thanks Pete
  4. I've got one too but think I need to sell soon, just about see the pic below.
  5. Thanks everybody, really helpful advice as always. Will speak to the missus and make a decision over the weekend.
  6. Thanks Grundy, based on those prices the stock price from Nissan seems pretty good, although they were just replacing the back box. Again, lack of exhaust experience question, the pics on the link show more than just the box, does it make sense to replace the whole lot at once, presumably if the back box is worn the rest is on the way out?
  7. Whackywill, I'll come back to you on that, thanks for the offer.
  8. Hello all, I've had my car into the Nissan today as the exhaust has been blowing, they've said I need a new back box as there is a crack. They have quoted £332 for the rear box and gaskets (£414 including fitting). For that sort of price are there any decent after market boxes that will give me some more noise? I don't want to go full boy racer but something that sounds a bit meaner would be great Those of you who've read my posts before will know I know nothing about the technical side of cars so if this isn't what makes the noise someone please put me straight! Thanks as always Pete
  9. Thanks CS. New one doesn't sound cheap and cash is an issue at the moment, hopefully can make it last to the Spring when wifey will be earning more than SMP again!
  10. Yes its OEM, ok always fails doesn't sound good! Is there an easy fix or is it a garage job? Would much need replacing?
  11. Now with picture assuming I can follow simple instructions:
  12. Hello all, I need help again! My exhaust has been making a bit of noise lately so had a look yesterday, I think there is a small hole on top of the pipe so have filled with Holts Gun Gum, this should fix that problem. It is also leaking fluid (I guess water) from the joint on the pipe near the main back box (I took a picture but its too big to attach and my computer skills are somewhat lacking). I have covered this in Gun Gum as well and hope this will do the trick. But, does anyone know what might be causing this, is it indicative of a bigger problem? Wife is on maternity leave so could really do without this getting expensive!! Thanks as always. Peter
  13. Ok so looked at this yesterday, fuse was the obvious solution, changed that and it fixed the one in the foot well but not the other one. So pulled the whole thing out (which was a complete nightmare! wouldnt come out so ended up taking the bose sub out so I could push it through fom behind) and I found the problem. The previous owner had installed a Smart Tire system and spliced the power into the cigarette lighter, no problem with that but he then put the wires back the wrong way round It gave power to the smart tire system but the power socket did not work. Put it right and now both work, but seeing as I only have one tire sensor left pulled the tire system out anyway. Only had the 6 years, could have checked that sooner!
  14. For some reason I had no notifications that anyone had posted so sorry for delay. Been looking at it just now and the one in the passenger footwell works, sure it didn't before! Other one still no good, got a generic part from local shop for £4 hopefully that'll do the trick, if not will try your suggestions. Thanks all
  15. Hello all, Neither of my cigarette lighters work so I thought I will replace them, presumably easy enough. Does anyone know if they are special or would any old socket do? If anyone one is selling them or knows where to get them from please let me know. Thanks! Pete
  16. Thanks to Ewen for sorting out pads and disc's all round for me, approx 1/3 price of Nissan! Much appreciated.
  17. Any traders on here likely to sell batteries?
  18. Hi Aidan, thanks for this. Just spoken to my Nissan garage, they have replacement battery for £59 and will fit for £10. I thought the battery would be twice that?
  19. Hello all, I've never had a problem before but I've started using the Z to commute my 8ish miles (about 2 months now) to work each day and I'm now finding that its really struggling to start up, worried I'm going to get stuck at work I've charged the battery a couple of times in the last few weeks so I thought it should be ok. Its a 2005 roadster and lives outside which I guess doesn't help, as far as I'm aware its on the original battery. Is a new battery the answer or is doing so many short journeys going to drain a new one anyway? If so any idea on cost and is it easy to replace the battery, common sense says it should be straight forward enough. Thanks Peter
  20. I can think of a few cats that might get a quick blast!
  21. I'm in Hastings so not very close to Richmond I'm afraid.
  22. Certainly looks pretty cool, must we worth a try at least!
  23. Novice question I'm sure but what is 'snow foam'?
  24. Thanks Rich that good advice, also recommended by Tom so I'll check them out too. The base model on Amazon is very similar spec and much the same price too but shouts about the metal pump so must be a good thing! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nilfisk-C110-4-5-PC-Pressure/dp/B00AZKE2HC/ref=sr_1_1?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1394454535&sr=1-1&keywords=nilfisk+pressure+washers#productDetails
