  1. Looks like its hiding. "thought" I'll park it behind 2 bangers & next to a skip, they'll never notice. My thoughts exactly Cool pic
  2. LMAO, the amount of innuendo in this thread so far is hilarious To the OP - enjoy!
  3. And for the record, my reverse parking is excellent....... Stew will testify to that Will I????? I mean.... I will! Correct answer!
  4. On the one hand, you're very right...... but on the other hand, he may disagree and say that those years putting up with me feel like a lifetime already Lots of photos will be required!
  5. This thread is really cheering up my day - how funny! Ah, memories
  6. 05 plate, ending in something like 'MKH'. Spotted on Union Terrace about 8.45am, sitting at the traffic lights waiting to turn right on to Union Street. Looking good
  7. Thank you! After 8.5 years it's probably about time u2... Mauritius looks gorgeous, god what I wouldn't give to escape there right now away from the gales and rain here! Looks like France is proving to be a popular holiday location this year, you all could have a French mini meet
  8. Thank you. What with all the planning hassles, Doug would probably agree with you right now
  9. Funnily enough Mauritius (not sure of spelling either and I'm too lazy to go google!) is one I've been thinking about. We haven't been able to book anything yet because of Doug's offshore shifts changing and we're not too sure whats happening on that front. Because he works offshore it wouldn't be an immediate honeymoon anyway. I don't mind, something to look forward to after post-wedding blues so i'm told!
  10. Plans for Summer 2009 - Getting married So as long as June is dry and sunny (fingers crossed) I'll be happy! Hopefully a fab holiday (honeymoon) too.... not booked one yet.... suggestions welcome!
  11. And for the record, my reverse parking is excellent....... Stew will testify to that
  12. I have a K reg Golf which does the job - take anywhere, park anywhere, leave anywhere! (though I often feel like having a sticker saying "My other car is a 350Z, honest" ) A mate just got a 1L Panda for the same reasons.... says he's loving the steep hills in it.....
  13. I have to deal with them quite frequently through work, and they are a NIGHTMARE (apologies to anyone who works for HMRC :L ) Some of the forms may as well be in a foreign language for all the sense they make! And as for getting any decent help in plain english over the phone.. forget it Good luck
  14. Oh dear, I feel for you, teenage (or maybe a bit older than teenage!) lads eh
  15. Happy Birthday Stew!!! Hope you have a good one! Welcome to the wrong side of 25
  16. Completely the norm I'm afraid. Like you say, loyalty counts for nothing with the majority (although, of course, I'm not saying ALL) of these insurance companies. The discounts are to entice new customers, then they rely on peoples laziness to just let their policies automatically renew without thought. Moral of the story - always shop around! I've never stayed with the same insurance company from one year to the next
  17. Glad to hear this had a good outcome in the end - what a relief for you!
  18. Congratulations!! Start getting your interrogation techniques ready now for when she's a teenager and bringing boyfriends home
  19. I completely agree that it is time which is the main factor. It is a vicious circle, and it will take a considerable period of time before confidence is restored - which I think is one of the keys, confidence. What I meant by global issue is that it is not just us here in the UK suffering and economies world over are suffering, impacting on each other. Whoever is in power, it is a case of riding it out and trying to minimise the damage. It does however help if at least, internationally, governments are pulling in the same direction rather than going off at a tangent - as some are prone to do! - affecting the rest of us. And now I'll What is it they say about discussing politics with friends?
  20. I personally believe that the economy is not going to improve this year, and we are looking at things getting worse before they get better - particularly in terms of employment and housing. And call me sceptic, but things never seem to change much no matter who is in power - there are always good times, and there are always bad times, it's just how those times are handled which makes the difference. The current state of the economy is a global issue, not just domestic, and there needs to be some sort of international agreement and policies on the way forward to start making things better.
  21. Hmmm I have no idea what you mean............... Should have known somebody would pick up on that!! lol I did, but the withdrawal symptoms weren't pleasant
  22. Almost slipped on the ice myself a few times today Well, no work for me as of tomorrow for a fortnight....which is great..... but instead, I'm on a stupid work course involving workshops/roleplay etc.... which is very very bad Worst of all, no skiving on the net
