Unfortunately mate he would have had to re-use the standard top mounts to fit his KW kit so I wont have any luck there. What I really need is someone who has fitted a coilover kit that comes with aftermarket top mounts. That way they would have their originals up for grabs. Cheers for the info though mate - much appreciated. Andy, after posting I engaged my brain and realised that MrLizard needed them for his own use... no worries mate - I appreciate any help I can get at the moment.

Think we posted at the same time. Yeah I dont think you will have the top mounts - they are most likely still on the car holding the KW's on. Thanks anyway though mate - thanks for looking.

KW does not offer any for the V3 coilovers unfortunately. Did you sell your stock suspension? If not, then you'll need to transfer those upper mounts over. Damn thats that plan out the window then. Unfortunately the HKS kit was on the car when I bought it from Japan so I never had the stock kit. Thanks for the info Adam. Does that mean my only options are full price standard top mounts from Nissan or try and get some used from a breakers yard? No aftermarket top mounts out there at all for the KW?
-
Or does anyone know if KW make their own top mount that can be used? Trying to call them and emailed with no luck. Any top mount will do as long as its compatible with the KW kit. Cheers guys.

Hey all Im currently up at Marshall Nissan in Cambridge - meeting the friendly guys, enjoying the GT-R and having my KW V3's fitted. Ran into a bit of a snag regarding the suspension fitting. Basically my zed currently has HKS suspension which was on the car when I bought it and the HKS kit comes with after market top-mounts which are a larger thread to accomodate the larger thread on the HKS damper. Now unfortunately the KW kit doesnt come with top mounts as its supposed to fit wit the original top mounts (which I dont have). We are therefore totally unable to fit the KW's to my car. Dom at Marshall has rung round for a price for standard top mounts which came in at £75 each for the fronts. The rears arent even listed on the nissan system so he is sourcing a price for those. Does anyone have any suggestions or even better a set of standard top mounts they are willing to part with? I wont get the suspension done today now which is a shame but it gives me a bit of time to source some standard suspension top mounts so if anyone knows a breaker with a zed in stock or any other suggestion would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Arming the factory alarm is silent - can you change it?
Bundus replied to Xendric's topic in 350Z General
Is the one door/two door thing based on where the car is from? I only ask because mine is a JDM 53 plate and both my doors unlock when I push the key fob button once - it always has done. To add another twist to the tale if I push the button inside the drivers door to lock the car (not the lock itself but the button on the arm rest bit) it only locks the passenger door and not the drivers. Only way I can lock the drivers door from the inside is to push the manual lock switch on the handle - which also locks the passenger door at the same time Im totally confused -
Im interested in prices too. I have a cusco strut brace on mine with a plenum spacer. It fitted fine without the spacers but noticed a tiny bit of rubbing on my polished plenum just underneath the bar so I fitted the spacers and been fine ever since - no probs at all. Looks great also.

A really simple install would be like I have in mine. Its a kenwood 7" touch screen in the cubby and a kenwood sat nav and av box wired in located in the glove box behind the passenger seat for easy access. You get sat nav and can also add in games console, reverse camera etc. I also went for an Alpine double din touch screen dvd with ipod connection in the main area to give me the two screens. Its all relatively simple to install as long as you dont mind taking your centre console and transmission tunnel apart. Heres a look:-

so in major Laymans terms what do I need to get free HD tv? This box for £115 A dish - where can I get one and how much are we looking at? Is that it? I really like the idea of this but I have nothing at the moment that I can use (no dish, loftbox or anything else) so Im wondering how much would this cost me to buy all the bits and have them installed - or is it easy enough to install it myself? Thanks.

Small irritating vibration in passenger compartment
Bundus replied to Stoker's topic in 350Z Technical
3FiddyZ is most likely right but also the glass in mine on the passenger side rattles against the door. If the window is fully done up its not so bad but open it by a few mm and it rattles like crazy. Doesnt do it if I lean on the door slightly. Best bet would be to remove and refit the door card, checking that all internals are attached and not loose. Also my passenger seat belt makes a hell of a racket if its not located in the plastic clip on the door pillar. -
One came with my JDM. It was just loose in the pocket on the back of the passenger seat and its still there. After reading this thread Im thinking I should probably take it out!?!

Ive dropped him a PM so Im waiting to see what he can do. Thanks again.

Think someone may have figured it out. Was on the car when I got it from Japan so have never known. Looked it up on google images and it does look like we have a winner. ive been waiting for mine for 3-4 months now.....thought i was going to be the only one on the website.... booo u... but seriously that has just made me like your car even more....good purchase matey.. -ho ps could you take a sound clip for me sometime?? I feel terrible now because I didnt even know what exhaust it was and you have been waiting months for it. I certainly will appreciate it a lot more now though. Yeah sure mate Ill do a video clip of it tomorrow and put it on youtube or something - unless you know of a better way to go about it? Glad to make all your aquaintances guys. Thanks again for all the comments. mate dont worry about it honestly.... good things comes to those who wait blah blah... cheers for the vid clip in advance.... go out and enjoy it ... also can i ask.. is there any droning on the zaust at motorway cruising speed and whats the volume like at a steady 30??? still loving your car... think this is about the 5th time ive looked at your pics... lol -ho Lol Ive never had the original exhaust so I have nothing to compare to but the sound is great. Its a nice rumble but not too much at normal revs and it will pretty much stay like that no matter what speed if your easy on the revs. But as soon as you put your fut down it roars all the way through the rev range. I love it. I still want louder but then Im a noise junky ha ha. -
Cheers mate - didnt realise how old the last post was.
-
Ive been given the details of a place near me that works with custom exhausts so Ill be on to them soon. Not sure what difference the parts will make individually but ill have it all done together so will do a before and after vid for comparison.

Im definitely interested if that helps with the group buy. Would want my 03 lights done with a blue main lense on a switch and the leds like the R8 round the outside. Are the R8 leds on a switch to change the colour too? Im thinking white leds and main lense then switch to blue leds and main lense? Any ideas on cost of this? Many thanks.

Just realised the exhaust pic wasnt working so have fixed it now Thanks mate. It was from the US - I picked it up on ebay. I havent seen any about here either but I was desperate for something to hide the long holes behind my plate. Fits really well too. -

Yeah Chris the picture is a little dark and makes the exhausts look black. They are actually almost entirely blue - similar to the blue you see on the burnt tipped exhausts. Heres a better shot :- Nurrish I agree with you. It was one of the first things I wanted to change (im sure its not helping the aerodynamics either) but as I went to more and more meets I realised it was one of the things that made the car stand out and kinda helps to keep the original Jap feel. I still plan to change it some day but will do it if and when I change the front bumper as Id need to fill the holes left behind and re-spray anyway. Thanks again for the comments guys.
