  1. EDIT - Can a moderator please blur out my plates if its not too much trouble - Im useless, sorry Ok so you all know how long the Zed has been away for - almost 6 months in total. Getting the car back for 2 days only to have it crashed into and trailered straight back was a particularly nice experience. But the wait is finally over and the Zed is back and IMO its better then ever. Im absolutely blown away with the work and the fitment quality of the new kit. It is much more aggressive then before so it wont be to everyones taste but I hope you all appreciate what Im going for here. So here goes with the new spec:- Genuine INGS+1 N Spec front and rear bumpers Genuine INGS+1 Vented Bonnet KW V3 Coilover Suspension Ill let the pictures speak for themselves but I am now officially back on the show scene and cant wait to see you all at some great events this summer. I must give a special thanks to CS (Mitz) who supplied the kit, sorted out the work and got me a fantastic deal - not to mention being a great friend and keeping me sane throughout the whole thing. Cheers mate - look forward to catching up with you at a show or two this year Also big thanks to the Chilli's and Envy South for sorting me out with the bonnet in my hour of need. I hope you guys arent too upset that I now have the second INGS+1 bonnet in the country (I think thats correct at the time of going to print)
  2. Thanks a lot for all the info guys. Based on what you said I figured the battery was the culprit so decided to start with that. In the end I went for lomoto's original route and removed the battery and the battery tray. Took the tray with me to halfords and they had a uk battery that was the perfect size. Had a bit of luck too because they had one in stock that already had the smaller terminals so it was a straight swap. Car now fires up quicker then ever and had no problems since. Now I guess I better do that other post and give a write up of my "new" zed. Cheers.
  3. Well I finally got the car back and I am over the moon with the work - another post with pics to follow on that One problem though is the battery. The car wont start at all without being jumped but once its running it keeps running. I drove it back for 4 hours, turned the engine off outside my house, instantly tried to restart it but nothing. Mine is a JDM with the smaller battery. Do you think I just need a new battery or could it be something else? If I do change the battery does anyone know the size of one that I can fit in the JDM. Ive read about what lomoto did by taking the battery tray into a store and asking for one in that size but does anyone happen to know what size it is? Cheers guys
  4. +1. I'd cut a hole and mount it as flush as I could.
  5. how do you then plan to stick the moulded part down to the centre console after you have removed the cling film? Will you be using some more double sided 3m stuff? Another option is always fibreglass. That way once you have made the piece you want you can rub it down and spray it to match the dash. Good luck with it all mate.
  6. I would say that for anyone going on the track regularly it is a must to have it de-restricted (if it really does open up another 30 odd mph) Most everyday drivers and mod boys arent really in it for the top speed (I stand back and wait to be slated if im wrong) but I know for me personally I mod mostly for looks, noise and maybe a bit of extra torque. I cant imagine when Ill be getting the car up to 155 through everyday driving let alone 170. For JDM's I guess its also a must as they are restricted much lower. Im taking a different route to the HKS though.
  7. A unichip or other piggy back (or even stand alone engine management system) should also allow you to de-restrict but if you are just interested in removing the speed limit then you will need this. I didnt realise the UK ones were restricted?
  8. Are the clutch lines after market and if so what improvement do they make over standard? As you can tell I have no idea about this product but if I can mod for moddings sake at only £7.50 then im interested
  9. Damn it Ive already placed the order. Actually its not that much of a problem as they arent too expensive. Ill go with the JDM for now and if they do start to go tits up then I can always replace them with the ones you recommended. At least I wont have to change the cluster more then once. Thanks for the advice though mate!
  10. I already have the rear clear cluster so Im ordering the bulbs from the links in Chris's post above (JDM Performance and Ebay). All set to go now once everything comes back.
  11. Red reverse LED bulb - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2pcs-7440-7443-T2 ... 47680709QQ Silver indicator bulbs - http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... odID=52189 Thanks very much Chris. So is it that Red reverse LED bulb that I use for the foglight I take it? Is LED bright enough for the fog light as someone on here said it was a bit poor? Forgive my stupidity. Thanks again. Sorry, I am a muppet sometimes and dont think what I am typing! That is indeed the fog light, not reverse light Its definately the one you want, I have tried loads from the same seller and that was by far the best. Passed the MOT with flying colours last Sept with it in my clear cluster No worries mate just wanted to make sure I was getting the right thing. Going to order the bits now and give me something to do when the car comes back. Cheers mate.
  12. Thanks Andy. ps come and see us for a cuppa soon, can't wait to see your 'new' car Certainly. As soon as I get it back (hopefully this weekend) Ill pop on down. See you soon guys.

  14. I managed to get hold of an OEM light from a UK car. Was planning on fitting it to my JDM when I get it back. Problem is though that all the links to the bulbs in this thread are now out of date and no longer work. Can anyone provide a link for the silver indicator bulbs and also the red one for the fog light? Or just let me know what I need to search for on ebay/google. Cheers guys.
  15. Im really sorry I have only just seen this. I made the mistake of passing over the thread once before not realising what it was in aid of. Just wanted to say Im really sorry to hear about the news Sarah. My thoughts are with you all and please pass my condolences on to Tony.
  16. Guys im literally cracking up here. Sat here trying to look like im working but the Burgundy quotes were just too much
  17. Standard UK rear reverse light/fog light cluster/indicator (right hand side only) - £10? Is this what I would need to make my JDM zed symetrical? If so Ill take it mate. Can paypal you the money straight away. Cheers.
  18. Thanks Budge. I already have the nice coloured bolts from Envy but I dont think they have any of the bottle caps. Ill give them a shout though as Ill be seeing them soon. Thanks for the help mate.
  19. Does anyone know where I can order these? Or does anyone have a set for sale? Eventually I will upgrade to the entire polished bottles but for now I really just want the caps. Think there are 3 in total over to the left of the engine bay. Im after blue or silver. Material doesnt matter whether its ally, steel, chrome lol as long as they are shiny Thanks guys.
  20. Looks awesome. Ive been planning to have a wrap done for quite some time. Really looking forward to hearing more about this and a full write up.

    Clear Fog light

I've been wanting to do this for a while so Im up for it if the price is good.
  22. Not trying to put you off an import mate but there will be a number of differences that you may want to be aware of. I bought an import myself and absolutely love it but I had to spend a lot of cash on things that I didnt realise were missing at first. It cost me almost £2k alone just to get Brembo brakes on there. I will point out that if you just plan to buy and drive the car then you will most likely be very happy but if your like me and you intend to modify it or spend some money on it then bare in mind that the UK ones do seem to come with a lot more as standard. As has been said before if you find the spec you want with the things you want on it then you cant go wrong. Main thing to check first would be the insurance in my opinion as it can add a whack to the cost depending on where you go. Check the JDM section on here and read up on all the differences. If none of them bother you at all then jump right in mate. Its the same car at the end of the day. Good luck mate and let us know when youve made the purchase!
  23. I have one all sorted from the Chilli's now so Im good to go. Will get pics up of the beast when all the work has been done. Think Im looking at 2 to 3 weeks!
  24. Yeah its actually the Chilli's that have me one lined up at the mo but Im just seeing what else is out there. Unfortunately I missed out on the Varis one when they sold it at the Mod Day. Ill check out EPRacing now. Anyone else have one for sale whether its new or used? Cheers guys.
  25. As some of you may know my front end was smashed up recently and its all being repaired now. Rather then go standard Im after a carbon bonnet instead. I have one option lined up that Im pretty settled on but before I make the call does anyone have any nice vented carbon bonnets readily available? I have money waiting for a good bonnet at a good price. Cheers guys.
