  1. Well, 2 months in (nearly) and i have cleaned it with hot water twice, and used some chrome polish once. It still looks great. The rear centre-pipe is beginning to show some surface rust, but thats mainly because i cant be ar$ed to jack the car up to get to it
  2. Got a mate of CS's to fit these 2500's last Sunday. Bloody good - much better than OEM Nissan (Brembo calipers). Worth the money!
  3. xStric9x - any chance you can PM the 7 drivers who will be getting cars washed with your mobile number? I have no idea who i am looking out for on Satdee morning lol - and no idea where i am going either Having a mobile to call and get directions when i get lost would be sweet
  4. Reg was B3*** silver/gray GT. Parked behind you at the Safari Park, then ended up parking near you at castle Coombe the following night lol No idea who owns this or if they are on here, but normally i dont see any Zeds, so the same one TWICE must be a record for me lol
  5. Thanks fellas! I should have clocked the "Chesterfield" owners name against the group, lol
  6. Hi, Can anyone shed light on why "gallery tester" appears in my 'groups' list when i compose a new PM? I cant remove it, and have no idea why it's there Each time i compose a new PM to a member, "gallery tester" gets added to the list of CC'd persons too... Very odd When i click on "Usergroups" in my PM options, i can see that this is listed as a group - but i cant demote or decline it...
  7. Stick me down too ! 1.Martin and Liz 2.Chris I and Amanda 3.Shire and Zoe 4.Andy and Fran. 5. Rob and Becca 6.Adriank (no lady as his exhuast is too loud ) 7. Andyvvc and Lydia (has a loud exhaust AND a gf !) Im staying at the Dene Sat and Sun nights. Where's the wash planned?? One of the car parks?
  8. Dammit ! Me and the gf spent AAAAGGGGEEESSSSS gawking at your car! Didnt realise you were on this forum - wish i had said hello now. I spent a while taking snaps of the rear diffuser/pipes. Nicely placed mirror btw! We were parked over on the 'public' parking. Ironically, there was a lot of metal in that field that i thought should have been in the main compound on show lol Who owned the S2000 in that AutoGlym area? That looked fantastic too. Wasnt too sure about that Fiesta. "What is it" was being said a bit tooo often !
  9. Seriously? I can fit 2x rear tyres into the Zed? Surely only with the passenger seat moved all the way back? There cant be room in the boot for two tyres can there....????
  10. Hi all, Looking at gettiong two Toyo Proxies T1-R's to replace my worn Goodyears on the rear (fronts already have T1-Rs on them). £370 fitted for the two rear tyres is the best i can find in Nottingham. Just wondering if i order from, say, Camskills, if i can actually fit the things into the car to get them to a local fitting centre? Or maybe i can get them delivered *to* the fitting centre?? I can get them for about £260 from Camskills. Factor in about 30 quid to fit and balance the rears, and i save 80 quid easily lol! Any thoughts on tyres inside a Zed? Or delivery to a fitter? Anyone done this...? Ta
  11. I get this with mine. It comes on for a week - then goes away. Then comes on, then goes away. Happened after the first uprated exhaust was fitted. K&N Typhoon, colder sparks, plenum spacer, *another* exhaust and 5w 30 Castrol Edge seems to have completely bamboozled my ECU now Nissan said that the uprated exhaust system was causing the O2 sensor on one of the CATS to have a few issues with what it was reading (ie outside the 'OEM' thresholds). I have no concern about the constant CEL - lots of people on here seem to get this after mods If it starts blinking, i will start to worry. TBH Nissan probably should have just put a 'MOD' light on the dashboard that glows when you modify your car.....
  12. Just for clarity - can someone edit the first post to state if this is a monthly meet, and what date/time each month? I'm local to Rainworth (ish) - would be good to pop along to the next one. I used to run a 200SX so kinda missed the 300zx - nice cars, especially the twin-turbo'd ones. Would be nice to have a look around a few of them!
  13. Hasn't rusted yet Seems ok at the moment - no worse than the K1 or any other exhaust i have had for getting dirty so far (roads still have a lot of salt on them). If it looks terrible after a few months and i can't clean it off (ie rust not dirt), i'll be speaking to the lads in Sheffield. Mind you, I had a decent Apexi exhaust on my old 200 which looked awful when i sold the car - it needed a wirebrush on all the under car pipe work to get rid of surface rust before the new owner then polished it all up again. That system cost me a LOT and didnt look 'new' a year later. I bet if i lived in sunny California it would still be as-new
  14. There it is - from a rear position in a car or standing, the collector looks like a pipe very much like the K1. From the floor you can see it is a small collector that links the tail pipes. Keeps a more aggresive look to the rear (a bit like the K1) rather than having a mad, large, rear collector that looks OEM.
  15. Its got a backbox unlike my old K1 Its about half the size of the OEM one (which IMHO was waaaay to big and bulky looking). The pics are a bit dark - it looks better in the flesh
  16. Near Heanor mate (J26 of M1). Let me know if you are over this way anytime soon and i'll pop out and meet you at Ikea car park or somewhere easy for you to find near to me. It's MUCH louder than OEM, about the same volume as the K1 WITH the bungs in it (ie sensible). The rear collector means that below 2.5k it isnt that bad at all - civilized for my neighbours on a cold start. Above 2.5k the V6 roar is very nice
  17. Ended up costing me 400 quid (including fitting) from the Y pipe back. (Centre pipe, rear pipe into collector and rear pipes). All stainless T304 grade steel custom fitted by the lads in Sheffield. I'll get a few videos up of it soon too. I'm not totally sure about the rear pipes. 2x 4" slash cut. I may get them changed for some slightly wider rear pipes. Not sure on the look of it yet...but the sound is perfect
  18. I've only just found this thread - is this gonna be a monthly thing? Mods - if it is can we make this a sticky maybe?
  19. Glad you like it mate As i said, if the bungs arent quiet enough at motorway/everyday speeds, then you can always put some sound deadening into the boot cavity. The Zed has bob-all sound deadening as standard. I found a little Dynamat and some carpet muffles road noise wonderfully. My new system is bedding in nicely now, coking up a little inside so the slightly mettalic rasp has been replaced by a more aggressive V6 growl/bellow (depending on revs of course)
  20. Had it done at ExhaustsUK in Sheffield. Very good bunch of lads. They had the car for 4+ hrs and tried various rear collectors to find the right level of noise and V6 growl that i was after It sounds very nice now - much louder than OEM, on a par with the K1 with the bungs in. It also seems to get louder as it goes over 4k, which is sweet too (kinda sounds like it has some valves that open/close in the exhaust if that makes sense - even tho it doesnt) Its all custom stainless, with a Cobra rear collector. Looks very nice and if i get bored of the 4" slash-cut rear pipes i can have new ones fitted without too much hassle lol Main thing is that it sounds just how i wanted it to, and didnt cost the earth either! (But im still gonna miss the K1)
  21. Marzman is local and can pick up - he has provisional dibs. If he doesnt want it, or cant pay or whatever, then Nick U has second dibs. (In the event that Marzman doesnt want it, i'll PM you to sort out somekind of courier pickup Nick. I appreciate you showed interest first, but im struggling for time due to work, so a collection by Marzman is easiest for me...) Cheers all
  22. Ok - the flanges didnt do much...so the K1 is up for sale: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=290322#290322 I will be getting a full Y Pipe-back custom exhaust fitted, with a smaller rear-collector than OEM, and my choice of tail pipes (havent decided yet on exactly what). Cheers for the advice on this post - sadly the K1 cant be tamed without bungs, and as i dont really like the bungs, it has to go Shame really cos its a bloody brilliant exhaust, just a bit loud
  23. Yes, i know i went on about keeping it, but attempts to quieten it down (without bungs) haven't worked. So the exhaust is up for sale. It will be off the car and available (preferrebly for pickup) on Tuesday March 10th in its component parts, so it *will* fit into the boot of a Zed. Y pipe NOT included, this is from the end of the Y pipe back (mid section plus rear section and the rear cans. Comes with the original bungs, plus two (removable) inserts at the rear flanges which were fitted to try to reduce the noise level a bit. The exhaust is in great condition, and has only been on the car for about 10 months. Please be warned that it is a *loud* exhaust without the bungs in! Plenty of youtube videos - just search for 350z K1 or ESR exhaust. £225 collected. If i dont get any serious takers i may decide to ship it out to a buyer. Im near J26 of the M1 so can meet someone at a motorway services near to there if that helps at all. Will stick some pics up in a bit. EDIT - i can't find the paper work from ESR, but i think i paid £330 - 350 for this. I bought the Y pipe too and the total was around £450 iirc. Somebody shout if my price is a shade high, i really cant recall what i paid for it originally! doh!!
  24. I think is the scoop one. Its arrived here at work so i will collect it from the mailroom in a bit Does the scoop slot into place and bolt to the main housing near the filter? Or does it bolt into the number plate area too? Cheers for the offer of help mate - can you PM me your mobile number? You might get a txt or call this weekend if i get annoyed trying to fit it lol EDIT - cheers to CS for the fantastic service. I ordered this late on Monday iirc and its arrived already
