  1. do you even know where the diff is on your car? not sure I know what you mean... oh wait I think I do, I could use socket wrench extension bars too? Might give this a bash in the early mornings thanks!
  2. Can I take off the 4 17mm bolts first and then try it? Or does have to be done in that order?? Wonder if something feel in there while I was marking up the first side.... tried to put the side I got out back but it no longer slides in fully... :-(
  3. diff... will take her to a garage tomorrow and see what they say, feels like its stuck somehow....
  4. Will do after my shower :-) the photo shows how far I got... still open diff in there only managed to get one of the sides off...
  5. After all that work in getting a vice to get to work with replacing the open diff to a Quafie diff and the race finished short of just needing to the bloody thing! Have serious issues following the below guide: http://forums.nicoclub.com/diy-quaife-l ... 14548.html (should kill him for not writing a proper how-to for a start...) At the 'soft mallet' on the axles one of them refuses to budge, no matter how many wacks I've given it with the mallet it refuses to give way. I'm WAY to new to the differential scene to know what's ok or not so decided to give it up after ALL the pain I suffered getting it out from under neath the car Anyone know what could be the issue? It was all going so 'well', considering that I had to do a lot of DIY MacGyver things to get it out (might keep them to myself... or not)

  7. this diff is getting between and my rest, dinner!!! Got it out It's HEAVY!!! You need two people easy or a big strong viking to get it out The lad in the US making the Quaife LSD install should be shot simples... I'll put together a proper guide after I'm finished... will be a while

  10. i suppose its because the Vice is a key tool in making explosive devices; have they banned them all across ireland??? its a shame moddershave to suffer as other People misuse a tool.   11. NI you fecker... btw wasnt the captain brittish? Also B&Q don't stock vice's in Ireland... neither does Halford unless I wanted a hobby wodden one... ffs... and then I'd had to go to Carlow to pick it up... finally found a place that stocks vice's ...

  13. mine has that cubby standard, look for a 02, 03 cubby online second hand though.
  14. just as confused as you mate that non of my closer friends have one... not many people over here has a garage though... it's always a converted garage to a bedroom, play room etc...

  19. its the second hand sites not commercial ones then again they would do well in changing the spelling to get more hits leaning towards taking it out and get something sorted during the week....
