what the diff looks like inside? It's all good experience, at least it won't cost that much to get the bearings and ring over to the Quaife diff get it checked properly runout, drive pionion and tooth contact (was a bit worried about that) and closed up ready for me to put back under the car... I'm going to put a guide together or a thread or something to try and put light on the difficulties in doing this job and to have the correct tool list AND part list prior to starting off the project. Ah yeah, I wouldn't start putting my own safety on the line for any mech work.. The answer to that would be flat no unless I drive down to a mates place... insurance would put anyone off.

Whats your options? * keep the 276hp engine and mod it up to 310 * put a super carger onto the engine keeping standard internals 380ish * put a super charger / turbo onto the engine changing the standard internal and aim for the stars * swap out the engine to a HR one and get 313 On paper I know what I would do... but cost, time, insurance etc would probably change it... The Q to ask and answer really is this >>> What do you want to get out of this? One thing to remember, I didn't get modding to save money or expect to get any of it back if I sell up...the more mods going in though the less likely that I'll sell in the first place

mine isn't a LSD though, guess it's the same axle type though...only thing I can think of then is that the clip has got stuck somehow... will for sure have another look before hardest part was to actually get it out, it was 'easy' sailing from here... not to be! Oh and to get the f*cker back in will be an interesting task!
