Hi guys, Going to give my engine a little bit of a dressing next and was looking for some inspiration. My z is black so i am embelishing it with touches of red. So thinking of red bits like hose kit etc, bits of carbon and some bling polished bits. A recent picture of your bays would be appreciated Especially would like to see if anyone who has painted red battery/fluid surrounds with carbon coverings.....anyone, no, anyone? Cheers guys

Just back and got the response I was expecting.... "Yeah...its heat from the exhaust thats causing the paint fade.....BUT its because you have an induction kit on it." (JWT Pop charger for those who are interested). The service department also said the pop charger was responsible for rough idle even though its known to be common issue with the car. I was waiting to see what else they could blame it for. "Yeah your boot doesn't click open perfectly because of your induction kit and errrr, we forgot to put your oil cap back on because of that induction kit" Also said he couldnt get a clear picture of it on his digital camera to forward to Nissan - dosent help that his digital camera was out of a christmas cracker. What do I do - let Nissan bend me over as usual I guess...

Car is in getting serviced today and I have brought up the fact that there is a strip of paint fade above my right exhaust. Hoping that they will fix this under warranty although still waiting on the 'you car is ready phone call'. Anybody else experienced this? What do you think is a reasonable expectation on my part? Surely the paint shouldnt be dulling away because of heat from the exhaust - especially only having done 26000 miles and less than 3 years on the road?

Irfan from here has the AEM and i think it is well worth consideration for sounds and looks. It certainly looks better than the JWT (which I have)

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I tried the resets to no avail. When i start it up it initially shoots up a little past 3000 rpm without me touching the pedal. Also when i rev it at idle it sticks a little when i let the pedal go but also on its way down. I am stumped and its bugging me. Might be my imagination but when you turn the key without starting her up i think there is a slightly harsher noise coming from the engine.

What does this mean? I need a new one? Its still under warranty although it has a pop charger on so should i remove this before taking it along?

Ok, so I am just back from the states and the Z has been on its lonesome for two weeks. I get in it to drive it today and when i am releasing the accelerator pedal it sticks to that rev range for a moment before starting to drop. Also its idle rev is much higher than it was before I left. Its making the drive really jerky when sticking.... Any ideas or is my Z just having a tantrum?

I thought that to but its not red reflectors.....its not a light even. Its a small strips of painted plastic. I think the law only applies to lights??? Could be wrong.

Is that right Jay....? So all i really need is some red paint, a crow bar and a balaclava then.

For lights I am thinking black internals with red stripes in the slotted bits of plastic, leds down the outside and halos. I will speak to Paul and see what magic he can work! I likes Pauls bumper with the universal lip he added to it. I would probably be as well buying his car
