  1. Welcome and happy car hunting! You should definately be able to get a facelift 296bhp model for around that kind of money. I bought my 56 GT Zed about a year ago with 12000 miles on the clock for 17k. Was Oz that bad??? I have only been on holiday there but based on that I'd be there.

    new headlights!!!

Looks great!!! Paul mentioned coming down to me yesterday but sadly I had something on. Shame as it would have been nice to meet some zedders and see a few mods. I promised my self I was doing nothing to the car but I can feel the modding urges taking over!!! There are just two many crackalackin things........... Again, lights look sweet!

Cheers Irfan, I mentioned to my dad that you were a member and he informs me that it was you who ripped all his teeth out and gave him a big juicy set of falsers. He was the bald guy who has a major dental phobia.......the one that left claw marks in your seat no doubt. Look forward to the meet. Craig

Thanks Jay, I am always wary of waving at fellow ZEDers now as I did once and got no love in return- bad times! I have noted your plate though so i see you I will wave, might even flash my lights and honk my horn. If you guys plan to meet up anytime in the future would be good to come along for a bit and see some of the mods you have made. Thougt he was a dentist - might see if I brave it for a check up sometime soon. Craig

Hey G18FAN and Jay, I have seen your cars about a few times around glasgow! Be good to stop and speak to you sometime - I am a zed loner! G18FAN, your not a dentist by any chance? Lanarkshire area in a small town starting with H. I am assuming as I see you car parked across from the dentist everyday. I live 2 mins down the road from that car park. Bridgestones

Hey Stric, Am I correct in saying that you put the 245/50/18 on the rear and the standard 225/45/18 on the front? Is it also true that you need to try and get a specific compound code? Do you find them better than the stock sizes - and there not giving your stability control system a hissy? Thanks for the advice bud!

    Bridgestones

Arrggggh! Why are there so many choices? So I take that the bridgestones in the RE50s are not favourable then? I noticed a few other members talking about them in another post on this site and figured they would be more popular...guess not. Another tyre that seems to be getting good feedback are the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. Looking at those and Toyos as an alternative now. I can't make up my mind.

Thanks guys, Some of the other posts mention stepping up to the 50 width with bridgestones improved handling? Is this not the case. Any passing through the post tries these tyres?

    Bridgestones

Hey everyone, Just a quick bit of advice if possible. I am about to replace the stock tyres on my Z all round - they have the stock bridgestones on just now. I have read most of the reviews and opinions of tyres on the site and am most conpuzzled as to what to buy. Falkens, Toyos, Bridgestones, MPS seem to be the main contenders. So far I am thinking of going for bridgestone again as they seem the most reasonably priced premium tyre. I know there are alot of haters of this tyre but until losing most of the tread I haven't found them to be that bad. Its looking like £600 for four new tyres. However, I was hoping to go for the 245/50/18 rather than the 245/45/18 as they seem to have been better recieved. My question is do I put 225/50/18 on the front aswell or stick with the standard width at the front? Thanks in advance.
  10. Hello fellow zedders, Though I would come back to where it all started for me! My first posting A few months later and I have hardly been on the site because of work commitments (if anyone is thinking of teaching, don't! It take over your life). We will have no 'you get loads of holidays comments' please! That aside - I love my Z so much! All i have did so far is put in new mats. Got the 350z boot mat and front mats off Holdcroft for £100 and am quite pleased with them! The original boot mat was all over the place and really annoying me. Trying to go fairly slow with modding and make sure I really like something before I do it. This weekend I shall be ordering the JWT pop charger off bigphil - see bigphil, i told you I would get to you eventually! I was content with the stock grunt but now I want more - knew I wouldn't be able to help myself. Just hope I can fit it properly I know there will be mixed opinions but is this the most favourable intake for the 350z? I know gains will be minimal but sound? Is it worth paying extra for the polished tubing? Other than that stubby aerial is on the list and seriously considering changing the nissan badges to Z badges as suggested on this very posting. Any pics of how this look goes down? Cragus
  11. Just thought I would comment on this thread with my experience. My Rays had been on the road for just over a year and started to bubble - not as bad as some of the photos on this thread but none the less unsightly. My local dealer took a few pictures and advised me that it could take up to four weeks to get a call back. Three weeks later they called telling me the replacement alloys had arrived and I could book in to have them replaced. No arguments, ifs, buts or questions asked - I was chuffed to bits. It seems strange that there can be such inconsistency with level of service different customers are receiving off Nissan. Is it the dealerships and their relationship with Nissan or have Nissan just finally accepted that there is a problem with the alloys?
  12. Your observational skills are second to none M13KYF . Its my friends flats communial car park - think that van has been abandoned there for a while. I am just disappointed that my car hasn't placed you in such awestruck wonder that you have been able to take your eyes off it and notice the trivial matter of a flat tyre. Thats it, can anyone inflate that tyre or something on photoshop for me - I don't want this happening again .
  13. Thanks for the warm welcome everybody - I recognise most peoples names from prowling the forum. I believe the infamous bigphil is the man to get in contact with should I need some aftermarket lovelies. Saw the Jockland meet and if I am not woking I will definately strive to make it. Don't want to change the car that much as I love it the way it is but I am sure on meeting some of you my brain will be polluted. Pop charger perhaps and most definately a s2000 stubby aerial .
  14. I was just trying to find out how to do that. Thanks alot - I can tell you are going to be a helpful bunch!
  15. Hello everyone! Have been a lurker on this site for sometime but as I am now a fully fledged Zedder, feel worthy enough to introduce myself. I am from the suburbs of Glasgow and on Saturday bought a 56 Ebisu Black Nissan 350z GT (cue black is the best colour comments ). Spoke to a few of the Scottish guys a while back in the excitement of discovering there are meets up here! Special thanks to a Cool Hand Luke who took me out in his car before I bought my own - he was really helpful . For those more visually inclined I have taken a few pictures on my phone after a friend (who has a s1 elise 111s) and I did a little bit of polishing. Look forward to meeting and talking with all of you very soon!
  16. Hey Garry, That would be awesome - I would gladly take you up on that! Been dying to get my backside in one just to get a feel for it. Whenever you are free and going a run let me know!!! My MR2 should be gone in the next week or two so hopefully i can enter the M74 grand prix as a driver - i am a newbie so I get poll position, right??? lol Where are you and luke from then? I cant say i have seen many zeds about here. I keep seeing a black one emerging from newarthill area - not anybody here is it? craig
  17. Thanks for the warm welcome. Looking at a 06 black 350z GT with the sat nav just now although I am buying privately so having to arrange a trip down south when i find the right car - can't afford the 07 new engine sadly Yeah stanski, they are ok - no 350z though(I can tell and i have not even driven one lol)! The mr2 is a bit temperamental at the back round corners - wouldnt put yokos on it! No jay it is a black mr2 - i am technically not from glasgow but motherwell area just outside. thanks guys
  18. Hello everyone, I have just signed up to 350z-uk as my two year strive for a 350z will hopefully be met in the next month. Just graduated from university so the poor student thing has stopped me up until now! Have an mr2 roadster just now - no hairdresser jokes please! I will save the life story for newbie lounge but I just wanted to say I am so pleased that there is actually glasgow meets! Looks like a good day out - hopefully I can have an invite when I get the new car! Car look great in photos - 10 points to the cameraman! Well bye for now, hope to meet a few of the locals in time!
