  1. Welcome........ Get some pics up asap! We like pics
  2. Hey Anthony, Check the service book when you go to look at it - services are either a P1, P2 or P3. The logbook also details what is replaced/checked etc during each service. If I were you I would read the buying topic in the guise section which will give you a list of things to be aware of including things like clicky axle problem, bose headunit issues etc. It will also tell you about the changes in production. A 2004 will be the 276BHP model - is it a gt? This will again change the spec of the car you are buying...

    Bridgestones

OMG..£150 a corner sounds a little steep! I was thinking more of £130 a corner! Well I looked on several sites that users recommended as cheap like camskills and blackcircles. The rear RE050's on blackcircles just now for example are £165 - and this is without fitting: http://www.blackcircles.com/information ... d=11359516 Also phoned about a few national and local tyres placed and this was about the best price. SHould I be lol. Tell me where I can get them cheaper next time and I'll be there. I'd rather have it to spend elsewhere. lol P.S. that crash is immense. Cabin looks fairly intact considering the amount of damage though

    New mod

I think that is always the way with cars though - I bought my Zed a year back and am looking at market prices now thinking I should of waited. If you had though you would be saying the same thing a year down the line. All I have to say on the matter is I am dreading the day they get so cheap that chav ned stoaters with burberry caps are seen horsing a Zed........when it falls into that category I think i may have to stray to a gtr.lol

    Bridgestones

Hey Jerry, I got the four RE050's in stock sizes for £600 fully fitted. Thought £150 a corner fitted was pretty reasonable! Yeah, I hear you Stric. The only thing thats keeping the Zed on the floor is the rubber so its not worth taking risks on. On the whole 6000 miles thing - I hope my tyres are going to last longer than that but then I dont plan to track it or drift it.

Hey Stric No problem! went for the RE050's after you saying you find them ok and so far I have to agree. Nearly went for the Pilot Sports but reviews said they wear quickly and at near 300 bucks a tyre I didnt really fancy it
  7. I would like a rear badge and possibly another to stick on a Paul carbon fibre rear strut which I am hoping to get soon. As jamesyj says though, do we have any idea what kind of price they are going to come out at? Also, how long roughly before we can see an example of the quality? Craig

    Bridgestones

Hey Maxi, I ended up opting for the Bridgestones - stock sizes again but the RE050's instead of te RE040's. What did Kwik fit fit on your Z - they did my tyres too but I requested the RE050. I am finding them ok so far but have nothing to compare them to so couldn't fairly say how they perform in relation to any other tyre.

    new headlights!!!

Having now seen these in the flesh, I can vouch for how sweet they look!
  11. I agree with Chris! Would be easier for them to give you it back and hope your happy with it and won't make a fuss but they are taking the extra time to get it write....ope you get it back soon!
  12. Congrats! Car looks beautiful - well deserved!

Thats a bit random that you noticed it in the auction - know a bisset by any chance or did it just catch your eyes as it was near the top of the catalogue. If I can escape school tomorrow I will try and drive by around the 5.30 mark and if your still there hang back a bit for you. Lights are hard to notice in the rain and and you were gone by the time I got home tonight.

I have had the Zed for coming up a year now. Haven't really did anything major mod wise - only trivial things like.....JWT pop charger, Z burger badge, RE050 tyres, PIAA wipers, 350z stitched mats. Starting to look at doing a bit more now but its money. You dentists won't have that problem - you all get paid mucho more than us poor teachers. Only had the plate a few months as I have never been majorly into them but saw it at auction and it pretty much spells my name out so kinda had to go for it. I passed your car today at about 5pm and drove slowly to check the lights out.....was going to park up and have a good nosey but though I might look a bit suspect. What time you finish at the dentist and one night your free I might even come have a little look while your present.....would be good to know a face before the meet.
  15. Ouch! At least they are fitting it free...and that price sounds pretty reasonable. On a personal note go your kid is all i can say. It was a L200 that flicked a stone and chipped my Zeds windscreen making it unrepairable last week. Had to get a new one fitted on the Saturday. Your child was simply defending the honour of the Zed through the medium of destruction.
  16. INCOMING NEWSFLASH......CCTV footage providing photo stills of the suspected get away vehicle. Anyway its not called a bus AK350z....its the peasent wagon!
  17. Welcome Mark! If you need advice in the future I would almost definately ask on this site first as there are a host of cracking people who know the Zed well - better than the stealers! As for ipod connection the BOSE unit has no input as far as I am aware...as crud as it sounds I just use the tape connection to my ipod which works fine. Its better than the radio which always has others stations butting in and loss of signal. Anyway - you dont need music! Listen to the sweet tunes purring out the engine and exhaust! As for clicky axle - straight back to the stealers to sort out a well known warranty issue. As mentioned it is well documented and you can even buy the correction kits out of warranty for this now. Enjoy your ownership
  18. Woah AK350z....thats pretty bad. I had a pick up flick a stone on my windscreen last week and crack it so my Zed got a new windscreen on Saturday. Horrible feeling when someone or thing hurts your Zed......I have made a police reconstruction to try and cheer you up! All th most professional methods were used in creating this
  19. Welcome Austin! Elise is a nice car, especially the 111s. My friend has the s1 111s with the 7-series rover engine. He has had alot of niggly problems with it but it can move and the noise of it makes your ears bleed. Am i right in saying the s2 Elise you sold has the 1.8vvti toyota engine? Anway, welcome and rest assured you will love the Zed! I think one of the main differences between the Zed and TT is that Zed owners are generally more manly .......girls not included in the above comment of course - I envisaged a rather angry nixy response coming.
  20. Sorry to hear Clarkie but as said, it could have been worse. My old car used to have the lock after 10 minutes with no activity feature which was good but sometimes a pain if you left the keys inside while doing something on the outside.....had to be really careful. Suprised they left your Tomtom.....they must be waiting for you to upgrade it to one of the live traffic alert ones and then they will pinch it. Swines
  21. This would send the traction control into a hissy would it not?
  22. Parks Nissan in East Kilbride - have to say the service I have had off them so far has been pretty good! They replaced the bubbling RAYS under warranty within a couple of weeks of raising the complaint. As I learned on this site, I couldn't really see any major differences between the P2 and P3 service apart from them maybe staring at the car for a bit longer. Asked them about it and they said there were extra safety and diagnostic checks (they seemed unsure) but nevertheless gave a P3 service for the price of a P2. Also, as most do, I have a JWT pop charger - they took money off the service price again because they weren't replacing the air filter. Extra fuel money - yay! So all in all I am pretty pleased - with Sarnie on the YTS kids washing my car with brillo pads and washing up liquid though! Bad times!
