  1. I probably will at some point. Just slightly annoyed given the pricing for other cars that they do exhausts for and the markup which seems to be on the fezza one. Its like sponge or fruit cake - cheap as chips every day of the year until its for a Weddng, and then its suddenly very expensive... Still want to hear one in the flesh, and also see what effect there is on cabin noise, as I dont want it booming all the time like some sort of Subaru exhaust.
  2. It was left to cure for a while on Martins car before applying, and to be fair it was a VERY dry day with a bit of breeze so it will have cured within the hour imho. Its priced at about a tenner everywhere, and I havent got any yet - they had sold out when I bought the supernatural at Wales, so Ill be ordering today from one of the detailers on our traders list
  3. The price of £350 is straight from the horses mouth at Ferrari. Theres even a full set of four with brand new tyres for sale at £2200, and they arent shifting as they are no diferent to retail price!
  4. Thats great Chris Fits just perfect - now off to the track and get us some video!
  5. Nope that does not include fitting. That is quite cheap by all accounts, £180 +Vat. Also I am amazed at some of the spare parts prices. Obviously some are expensive, and I didnt go into this blindly, I know full well what a clutch and service are for example. But some are also a LOT cheaper than I thought. Hows this for a comparison. An 18" rays wheel or GT4 rim from Nissan is £1000 apparently, and thats what it cost for a new one when I needed one on insurance. A 19" Ferrari wheel however... £350. As this is a Zed forum, I dont want to keep this thread alive too much longer, but Ill try and get some size comparison pics up etc for this and the Zed later, Its surprising how little there is in it tbh.
  6. Entry is now CLOSED for this show. The club has now purchased the tickets for the 19 filled slots. Please can all those occupying a slot please confirm their attendance on the meeting register: click here to go to meeting register for this event
  7. Had a quote on the tubi, and I think they are having a laugh to be honest. £2850 + Vat. For an exhaust. Seriously? Its not as if its got to run the full length of the car either! Glad you enjoyed it James - even though we only went on that short run, the exhaust was still warm when I came to put it away FOUR HOURS later! I cant believe how much heat is given off. After a good run I can heat the garage with it overnight! Spent the evening washing the Zed and the Altea, and trying out the supernatural on the black Altea. Will try and get some pics if the weather holds tonight
  8. Actually according to the website configurator, you have a choice of 30 colours! Including Lime Green, Orange, and Yellow - so its right up your street
  9. The XJR in a straight line is pretty quick. Its a wallowy barge the rest of the time though The XKR and XFR are a lot quicker, and they can handle the twisties better than the usual barges too. As with the other threads on this sort of topic, there are so many variables. Put even a half decent driver in a Zed, and it will probably have my fezza in the twisties with me behind the wheel, as I drive like miss daisy and dont want to stack my car up when I run out of talent.
  10. Do we have any figures for any NA cars as per the opening post?
  11. Is this for a Manual or Auto? If its Manual then Im sure you can get a better deal. Some people have had better deals, but they arent allowed to speak about them publicly I believe. You'll soon see if its the best deal that particular dealer can pull off if you say you are going to try some other dealers and see what they will offer...
  12. Can all attendees confirm both here and on the meets scheduler (see top menu) please. Thanks
  13. First Skyline should be disqualified - in the "50 words on", he is over the 50 on styling, and over the 50 on modifications. If you cant abide by the rules, then you shouldnt play. Whats the point on having "50 words on" and then not sticking to it?
  14. Looks like they are removing the unlimited data plans for new contracts, coinciding with the release of the 4g phone. Ill go through the invoices when our contract is up and see how much each person is using on data, if the standard package doesn't cover this level then o2 can shove it up their backside and Ill get the 4g phones on a different network when our contract runs out in 2011 , or move to another phone alltogether as by then the Android and other phones will have really progressed way beyong the iphone I reckon. Aplle has had a few years to come up with the next groundbreaking development for the iphone, and what do they manage - a flash and a higher res screen. Seriously, put the ipad dev team in the bin and concentrate on the product that millions of people actually want to use.
  15. In which parallel universe is an SL55 AMG Brabus considered to be a competitor for the Z?
  16. The Z4M is a propper Marmite car, Im firmly in the hate camp on that one. It still reminds me of the original Z3 and that scene in whatever James Bond film it was used in, he looked like a great big girl driving that, almost as if the real James Bond was about to appear in his Aston and tell the girly imposter to bugger off. Never thought they are right for a bloke ever since.
  17. I think the newr style TT has cut a lot of that out. The old Jelly Mould shape is gone in favour of more agressive styling imho.
  18. Looking at second hand prices, cars say 3 years old, the TT-s price is an awful lot higher than the 350Z of same age / mileage. In my opinion the TT-s is only a possible contender at new price, once it gets to the second hand market, it no longer competes due to the much higher residuals (justified or not). I would agree the TT puts the 350 interior to shame, but when comparing it to a 370z, the gap is closed a lot.
  19. Boxter starts at £34k - so 10% higher than the 370z roadster starting price, but close enough Its only 255bhp though it does come in with a 0-60 only marginally slower at 5.9. A more closely matched alternative is the boxter S, as its 310bhp with 0-60 of 5.3 - but that starts at a smidge under £42k - well above the 370z price. RX8 is well under the Z specifications, 230bhp, slower 0-60, but it is a fair bit cheaper too. Audi TT is probably the only real competitor but it would have to be the TT-S. Better 0-60, perhaps arguably better build quality, though comparing against the 370Z there isnt that much in in imho. BUT, its a full 20% more expensive. I honestly dont think there is a challenger at all.
  20. If you mean to tell me that you think the S2000 looks are on a par with the Zed then I shall thrash thee with a big stick. Your eyes must be painted on. No offense.
  21. For me the Zed takes some beating as an overall package of style and performance. Sure its not the fastest of cars out there with 280 to near 320bhp (and weighing in at 1.5+ tons) across the 350z/370z range, but its hardly a slouch is it! Lets not forget pushing 300bhp is a LOT for a road car in anyones book. There may also be better looking cars out there, but not many, and Im struggling to think of any that aren't above the 350z/370z price bracket. As a combined package of style and performance for its price, I think anyone would struggle to come up with many alternatives at all, in fact lets try.... Nope - Im stuck.
  22. If the weather holds, Ill be playing with the SN this evening. Ive got a range of colours to try it on now, and really looking forward to seeing it on Tracys car as its black As the Zed was done with it at Wales, Ill be able to report on the durability too as its been outside for a while recently.
  23. My insurance said it needed a new bumper even with just this crack: And I think £1k sounds very high. Mine had new braces behind and all sorts (over the top cautiousness from the insurer, but im not complaining) and I dont think it was much more than £1k.
  24.
