  1. The kit that Val (TheMinel) has fitted sounds lovely. Had the pleasure of hearing it first hand (as did the neighbours ). Not over the top during idle or regular driving, but sounded great uner load/acceleration. Had a quick drive to the pub, and could hear it over my standard set-up when we accelerated..
  2. I'm just dreading the day Wings West bring out something for the Z...
  3. Please for the love of God dont let them chav it up..
  4. We are giving the forum a lick of paint... A new theme, headers, menus etc etc... Maybe even a new gallery and some other fancy bits if I can stop awake long enough on Saturday! One of the more important items will be to decide on sparkies new title as he has put in a great deal of effort behind the scenes, and I for one am looking forward to showing off his creation this weeked. Dont worry, if you like it the way it is, you will still be able to set that as your default layout/colour scheme. Nothing to get to exceited about, though I'm expecting a flood of posts in this section once it goes live. LOL..
  5. Hows about the back of the wheel spokes? Under the sills, wheels arches deffinitley - Im thinking about giving them a good waxing under there when I eventually get round to swapping the wheels over, in the vain hope that the dirt wont be as hard to shift. If I haven't got anything better to do (and the missus hasn't got any jobs lined up for me), and the weather is nice, I could easily spend 4 or 5 hours cleaning and polishing.... Is that too much?
  6. Yep Ive got the stuff ready - I'll get it all in place over the weekend.
  7. Hi sorry that the thread was closed again, I took onboard input from other mods/admins and members of the forum. The subject at hand has been known to cause emotions to run high and various slanging matches to start, hence the decision to cut it short before this pottential was exploited.
  8. Dont think Ive got one... Maybe a difference with the roadster, as we dont get the controls on the steering wheel for the phone/radio either...
  9. That sounds ridiculous. Now I'm not a professional lawyer, but I do have a passing interest in legal matters.. Unless you have signed to say that you agree to pay for the clutch regardless of fitting, they will be on very dodgy legal ground if they charge for it. If they take money from your credit card without proof that you agree to the charges, then they are committing theft. Plain and simple. Are they seriously saying that they can't just keep hold of the item, or even sell it on to another dealer at cost? What about when the next 350 comes in for a clutch repair? How do they justify the new flywheel? Indeed how can an item such as a flywheel not be covered under warranty!?! Sounds to me like they are trying to makea quick buck here. They wont makea great deal of money from doing warranty work, but chargeable work is a whole diferent matter. Sounds like they are trying to pull a fast one to me. Just tell them that you are going to report the incident to NMGB and request that Nissan investigate the matter with aview to reviewing the status of the dealership. As Val says, there is a dealer on the board here that has come accross as a very helpful individual and has even posted his contact details for members. Although this is primarily for sales, he may well have some pointers or suggestions for you?
  10. Well there has been at least two dozen members come and go while this has been open, no additional replies, or at least any discussing the original topic, so its closed again. Sorry if you didn't get chance to have your say. This topic will no doubt appear again some time. Ta, Chris.
  11. This has been unlocked as I have received requests from others wishing to add to the topic, however if it breaks out into "forum wars", it will be locked again.. Regards, Chris.
  12. No problem with your first post being a sales pitch, as long as it is clearly something that the Z community may have a requirement for. Which these obviously are. I am sure you will be able to pick up a Z for the right money when the time is right. Though you dont need to be an owner to be a regular here, we accept fans too! Welcome aboard..
  13. True, the UK models all come with the Brembos fitted as standard. However if anyone has imported a model without these, then they could be right up their street! Welcome to the forum by the way - LOL
  14. car of the month competition could be looked at in the future too.... ?
  15. Agreed, We both have to co-exist, and I am sure as more and more members cross pollinate this discussion will be had again from time to time. Unless anyone objects (and please feel free to drop me a PM if you do), I'm going to lock this one, as I feel everyone has had their say, andeveryone reading will be fully aware of where both parties stand on the issue. Regards, Chris.
  16. Hmm indeed, lets not go there... we all know the situation. If any further arrangements or changes to where any domains point, or where domains have links to etc come about, then the admins of either board can discuss this via email etc. We are both here to stay, so its best if we all get along.. Their members are welcome to signup here, just as any of ours would be free to become paying members of their site if they wish, it is totally the individuals choice. The word "choice", represents the entire reason why this site was created.
  17. Paul, your post is in the traders section. Its now locked so as to make sure any discussions dont detract from your kind offer. Once again welcome aboard. Chris.
  18. Hi Paul, welcome to the fold.. Feel free to advertise what you like in the traders section.. If you start to get inundated with questions and calls from people let us know! LOL
  19. Hi Mark, Welcome aboard... I was only an active member of the old site for a couple of weeks before it closed, so nearly everyone is new to me! Glad you signed up - hope you enjoy the site, as for just wanting to talk cars etc - thats what we're here for! LOL Hope you enjoy your time on here. Chris.
  20. I fail to see why you regard our purchase of the ownersclub.co.uk domain as deceptive. There are several members of the OC site that are not owners, including some of the "higher ranking" individuals. As far as I am aware, not owning a Z does not disqualify you from becoming a member either. So why the name "ownersclub" at all? Is the whole point of the OC to be an "Owners Club"? If it is, then why the free areas open to non owners? Indeed why allow non owners in at all? Now, without talking about cost or price - please point out the difference between this site and the OC. In particular, what defines the OC site as an Owners Club when compared to this site. Chris.
  21. why should the ownersclub.co.uk url point to the ownersclub, yet the 350zuk.com url point to both sites? If the OC want DELETED.co.uk to point to their site, then 350zuk.com points to this one. Non negotiable. Our site is almost considered a profanity over there. any links to this site are removed, and help given to members telling them that it came from this site, is frowned upon. Yet over here we allow discussions of this nature. Why? because we are doing it for the joy of the Z and motoring in general, and not to protect our own little empire. Heres a test to see just how much the OC want to work in harmony... How about an OC member starts a thread in an open area of the OC discussing this very same issue and whether they should let 350z-uk.com have the old url and whether 350z-uk.com should redirect the ".co.uk" url to the OC - see how that goes down. Like a fart in a lift would be my guess. Working in harmony requires movement from both parties. I dont agree with poking fun at the OC, nor would I agree with anyone poking fun at us over on the OC. As soon as people are allowed to discuss our site over in the open areas of the OC, we can begin to work in harmony. Until then, its just a matter of trying to keep the peace..
  22. Heres an opportunity to work together.... Hows about they point 350zuk.com to our site, and we will point DELETED.co.uk to theirs....
  23. It is to attract as many members as possible, just the same as people use incorrect spellings of google, yahoo and microsoft etc. The name was actually registered 28th Dec. Before the OC went live on 1st January. Why does the OC continue to use 350zuk.com (without the hyphen) is this to catch our pottential members who may miss the hyphen? I know it is the "old site" but anyone wanting to make the switch will have done so by now, so why the continued use of it? We have actually purchased a number of domains and redirected here, for much the same reason as any other organisation would. Hope that helps..
  24. Hi Andy welcome to the site.. Im sure you will find a car in budget. I have the GT pack, and to be honest I havent really benefited from any of the "extras", the stereo is alright, but its not as good as a system you can build yourself. I was hoping that it would be as impresive as the little radios Bose make, but sadly not. The electric seats are a nice touch, but to be honest both myself and my other half have exactly the same driving position, so now that they are set, thats where they stay. So really, the only benefit I have from the GT pack is the leather - and in a roadster in the summer, its probably going to suffer the same fate as my last open top car with lether, and thats burning your backside when you get in after leaving it parked up in the sun! Good luck in your search for a car!
