05 350z GT Roadster - 6000 miles - 20.5K ono - SOLD
Chesterfield replied to expireddata's topic in Zeds For Sale
Price seems good at £22k too - with that mileage, you'll see them at £22,995 at the dealers. If it helps you haggle, I've PM'd you the trade in figure I was given for the exact same car with 9k on the clock just last week by a Nissan Dealer. -
Thats a good sign - some time ago when my car was nicked (crappy old ford escort at the time) the police couldnt be bothered to print it. As it sounds like this is some sort of gang/group nicking to order, they are probably more interested. Hopefuly there is no damage, and your mate gets the car back soon. We can but hope the scum that nicked it are being asked to pick up the soap by some 7ft gorilla nicknamed "horse" in the near future.

The rule is 15 posts to sell, UNLESS the sale is a specifically 350Z related item - in this case its a 350Z car which may be of interest to the community - hence the advert is allowed. It looks like a cracking example - seeing it with the top down on a sunny day really makes me question whether we did the right thing. (we recently swapped our Azure GT Roadster for a Yellow Coupe). I think we will miss top down motoring in the summer, and the Z really did put a smile on my face driving in the summer sun. Right, cant look at that picture any more. I want to win the lottery so I can have one of each! grrrr.... -
Cant wait for the summer driving in the Z!
-
Bloody ell how did I miss that! I want one of these too - Grrrr.......

Added for you Dave.

Given your location - you absolutley did the right thing.

My fingers are chubbier than mattesons pork sausages, and Ive installed and removed these twice now on two Zeds, 10 minute job tops. The trick is to have a long thin screw driver to hand, as you can use this to support the socket while adjusting your fingers to get a better grip on the bulbs/socket. A pencil will do the job if you cant find a suitable screwdriver. If anyone is having difficulty bring them along to the Wales meet and Ill do them for you no problem.

Unfortunately some dealers will have less experience with the Z than others - its just the way it is. If it is just an O2 sensor, they may well have the item in stock, they are a common part across a number of engines, and it wouldnt surprise me if it werent the same O2 sensor in almost every Nissan petrol engine. You could ring up another dealer if there is one locally and see what they have to say? Its not really Nissans fault, but more the dealers for having little experience of the car, but hen again, as they say it is rare. Suppose its just one of the joys of owning a rare (ish) car. I thinkits only fair that they should be able to sort you out with a courtesy car though if they are having it for the day or more.

Ill add it to the list... done - use the code : snack: (without the extra space) or pick it from the main menu of smilies. -

Did you consult Val on your choice of wheel Liam? If not, should I set aside an hour or so to follow the ensuing thread? -

Dont think you could ever make an UY chav could you? That would just be a contradiction in terms. Nismo Yellow has been done.. Time's they're a changing. -
Set it to 1 mile then. At least you are back and able to join us though!
-
Which is why you need the tomtom with the mobile locations already pre programmed - could have told you about the camera half a mile before you reached it.

Sorry Liam, I didnt get round to taking pics - want to make sure its up to its up to the shiny standard you would expect before the pics are taken. Tim brought me a present to go with the car - you'll get to see what he brought me on the Wales drive out - you will be soooooo jealous! -

Neil, Vals skirts are made by speedracing and Italian company, there are a few owners with speedracing parts fitted. I myself have the speedracing rear sat in my dining room The front lip that matches the rest of the kit can get a little low though. -

Thanks for the visit today Tim, you identified a few extras on this car that I didnt realise I had. The Autosol brought up the exhausts a treat. I got a buffing attachment for the drill and managed to get the inside of the tailpipes nice and shiny. The twin silencers underneath are now a mirror finish! The TomToms fit in the cubby just great, not loose either so they dont rattle about. At least thats what I find with my lift up cubby cover, I dont know if its any different with the ones that have the cover slide up and "into" the dash. -

You should have said Tim, Ive got the Tom Tom, you could have had a look at it in action. Ive not downloaded the camera database again yet, but will do. Ive got the TomTom 700 Go. This one has europe, and a small hard disk built in so you can store all the databases you like - speed cameras for example. The equivalent is the 910, but my dad has the 510, and that has a speed camera database loaded as standard I beleive. -

Some people will do anything to try and steer attention away from the Ultra Yellows at the shows.. Looks great Val - well done. -
I agree Jacko. I must admit the consequences of allowing the meeting to grow hadnt quite registered previously. I think in oredr to prevent the meet getting out of control, and indeed to remain focussed on the 350Z community we have here, it should be limited to 350Z's only, and only allow non Z's in circumstances where owners are without their 350Z for whatever reason on the day. We can all discuss the future of this meet on the day, as it certainly seems to be very popular. With input from everyone on the day, we can all work together to make this a regular and successful event. Perhaps we should engage the owners of whatever establishments we visit also, as they may have some suggestions on how we can work with the landlords/owners to ensure our arrival in quiet villages does not cause disturbance or disruption.

Is it a jpg? Some packages allow you to choose the quality of the jpg file, lowering to 8 will reduce the quality slightly, but hardly noticeable, especially in a 100x100 file, but it reduces the image size (in kb) dramatically. Can you attach it to a post and we can see what can be done?

I actually quite like the sigs that are starting to appear (size permitting of course). Obviously mines the best though. Took me all of five minues with photoshop - maybe Ill even use my own car in the next one

Perhaps we can all have chats on this event and discuss ideas of how we can add to it, be that some sort of raffle event for the members, with dontade prizes etc or some other sort of enetertainment. I dont think we should add to or change the event we have organised now in any way, as it would be moving the goalposts after people have signed up (and Jacko has confirmed with the pub). Perhaps the lunchtime meal would be a good way of everyone chatting and perhaps have a "suggestion box" on the day for other ideas, and not necesarily connectected to the meet itself. We are always looking for ideas from members on how we can provide more to them. Ive been working on one for the last year, and its still not finished, but if anyone has any ideas on how we can improve or add to this community, jot the idea down and we can have a sugestion box for them all to go into on the day.
