Thanks for the visit today Tim, you identified a few extras on this car that I didnt realise I had. The Autosol brought up the exhausts a treat. I got a buffing attachment for the drill and managed to get the inside of the tailpipes nice and shiny. The twin silencers underneath are now a mirror finish! The TomToms fit in the cubby just great, not loose either so they dont rattle about. At least thats what I find with my lift up cubby cover, I dont know if its any different with the ones that have the cover slide up and "into" the dash.

You should have said Tim, Ive got the Tom Tom, you could have had a look at it in action. Ive not downloaded the camera database again yet, but will do. Ive got the TomTom 700 Go. This one has europe, and a small hard disk built in so you can store all the databases you like - speed cameras for example. The equivalent is the 910, but my dad has the 510, and that has a speed camera database loaded as standard I beleive.

Some people will do anything to try and steer attention away from the Ultra Yellows at the shows.. Looks great Val - well done.

I agree Jacko. I must admit the consequences of allowing the meeting to grow hadnt quite registered previously. I think in oredr to prevent the meet getting out of control, and indeed to remain focussed on the 350Z community we have here, it should be limited to 350Z's only, and only allow non Z's in circumstances where owners are without their 350Z for whatever reason on the day. We can all discuss the future of this meet on the day, as it certainly seems to be very popular. With input from everyone on the day, we can all work together to make this a regular and successful event. Perhaps we should engage the owners of whatever establishments we visit also, as they may have some suggestions on how we can work with the landlords/owners to ensure our arrival in quiet villages does not cause disturbance or disruption.

Is it a jpg? Some packages allow you to choose the quality of the jpg file, lowering to 8 will reduce the quality slightly, but hardly noticeable, especially in a 100x100 file, but it reduces the image size (in kb) dramatically. Can you attach it to a post and we can see what can be done?

I actually quite like the sigs that are starting to appear (size permitting of course). Obviously mines the best though. Took me all of five minues with photoshop - maybe Ill even use my own car in the next one

Perhaps we can all have chats on this event and discuss ideas of how we can add to it, be that some sort of raffle event for the members, with dontade prizes etc or some other sort of enetertainment. I dont think we should add to or change the event we have organised now in any way, as it would be moving the goalposts after people have signed up (and Jacko has confirmed with the pub). Perhaps the lunchtime meal would be a good way of everyone chatting and perhaps have a "suggestion box" on the day for other ideas, and not necesarily connectected to the meet itself. We are always looking for ideas from members on how we can provide more to them. Ive been working on one for the last year, and its still not finished, but if anyone has any ideas on how we can improve or add to this community, jot the idea down and we can have a sugestion box for them all to go into on the day.

Sarnie - on the light colours I dont know - but results that can be had from a Porter Cable can be stunning to say the least. I am just the kind of person that would always be scared of using a device like this, but Im probably being overly paranoid, here is a guide on using this device - check the images further down to see just what a shine you can get on cars with one of these. There are already a couple of guest cars coming, so I dont see any reason why not.

Replacing the pads is one of the first jobs for me to do too. I think the current ones are either on their way out, or have been glazed by previous owner, they certainly take more pressure on the pedal to get the same response as I had on the other one.

Made myself a new one, seeing as Im off to bed, and next time im on here, the sig will better represent the car

Correct - many places will refuse to plug or repair a tyre with such a speed rating due to safety issues. I can see their point though. You may be able to find some garage that will do it, but it will most certainly be a cash job, if you get my drift.

yes I must get round to doing this one day Bet you don't know anything about bikes I bet I know less about bikes than Tims forgoten. Some very nice examples in his showroom, but I wouldnt trust myself on any of them. There is living dangerously and there is just plain asking for trouble. Me and a bike license would not be a good mix I'm quite sure. I would also change the loudness of the click for the indicators on the Z, or the visibility of the flashing green lights in bright weather. Or just make the auto switch off a little more sensitive so that they actually cancel after roundabouts etc.
