  1. Ahh well I was in a mood. Just got to think of something else to do before the weekend show then. Hmmm.. thinking cap on.
  2. Dont worry. You arent the first to do it, and you wont be the last. Ive driven into my own house with the previous Z, the missus has scraped it with this one (same place as yours), and I even managed to stick the rear arch of my Altea into the garage pillar one day
  3. Handy to know - Ill tell the missus and she can get her hand in her purse to sort out the kerb damage on ours then I think Ive seen the van from that place parked outside a house a few hundred yards from our house come to think of it.
  4. Just thought I would share with you my personal opinion of this outfit. Look on their website and just about every item is listed as "available to order". Its not until after your credit/debit card has had the money taken that you receive an email stating "we are currently waiting for a stock shipment to arrive. We anticipate your item(s) will be with you in 7-10 days." No mention of working days, and also no mention that what they actually mean is something more like: "We dont carry those items in stock, and we order them direct from Germany - when you ordered last Wednesday, that was a little late to get them on this Mondays Delivery, so they wont be coming on our stock order until next Monday. Which means you wont get them until at the earliest next Tuesday, which is, in their own salesmans words, a bit of a bummer." Oh of course their website states everything is available to order, and no indication what-so-ever whether they are in stock or not. And you get to phone an 0870 number for the pleasure of being told you wont be getting your items any time soon. So my personal opinion is that you should steer clear of Europerformance if you want anything resembling a decent level of service. PS. If anyone from Europerformance wants this post removed, then they should contact me - Ill give them my order number and if they can get it to me by the weekend Ill take it all back. Other than that, try improving your website and your service levels. /rant. PPS. Im not saying what the bits are Ive ordered, its another surprise for Rob (H5) when he sees the car

  6. Not too far from me if you know the garage I could have a quick look
  7. Good lord you have a project there Knowing how tricky it was to get a colour match on the few bodykit parts I had fitted, I would seriously suggest that on this project you just have the whole car done. You are replacing that many parts that matching them will just be pointless if not impossible. In which case you may as well just buy the parts in any colour you can find. Skirts and front bumper will be standard - just make sure you dont get the import bumper as it wont have the holes for the headlamp washers. Rear wing you may get away with, in fact lets hope you do, as cutting in a new one will be a nightmare. The A pillar looks slightly damaged on the driver side. There are clip on/off covers on the A pillars, so these could be replaced, or you could buy carbon covers if you really wanted, though on the A pillar Im not too sure about the look. Front wings will also be a standard item across the Z range, but take the Z emblems off the side, I believe these may be slightly different on the GT4, though I havent paid that much attention. Id contact the traders on the forum here and see if they can lay their hands on the parts you need. Im sure they will be able to help you out.
  8. If your experience is anything like mine and another chaps from the forum, you are going to have some SERIOUS fun trying to get a perfect colour match on the pearl yellow. Your best bet would be to try and source some parts already done in Ultra Yellow (paint code E33 in case you need it) and hope that they are a good match. As for parts, if you are replacing the skirts and front bumper, then it may be cheaper to have aftermarket ones than new OEM ones supplied by Nissan. Welcome to the club Im sure there will be plenty of support to be found here and help getting the car looking the way you want it
  9. Am I the only one that thinks the person writing the article/s for the Sun, wouldnt know the difference between a murcielago and a gallardo if it jumped out at them and slapped them in the face with a haddock. You would think that the least they could do when writing about the destruction of expensive cars, is have someone write the article that actually has a clue about the cars in question.
  10. Ill go with you Rob.
  11. I would get them on ebay certainly, and advertise them here too. Someone will probably need one or two to replace damaged wheels at some point. I believe they are still £1k each from Nissan, so if you do damage one, it is almost certainly an insurance claim, with whatever excess the policy has.
  12. Murci's can be had for Gallardo money now, but I dont fancy the £10k+ clutch change.
  13. You'll be spending a great deal of times on the roads next weekend then! Fingers crossed for good weather! Welcome to the club by the way
  14. Wasnt a fan of the rear at all on the new Nismo car, but in its defence the thing had been designed with function more in mind than form. The added adjustable shocks in the braces front and rear etc. A lot of the Nismo stuff on the car was hidden behind the rest of the standard gear, you had to look hard to spot it. Agree with the looks though, certainly not to my taste. I dont think the function over form look is the thing for me.
  15. I would suggest any latecomers speak to James direct on his mobile to ensure its still ok - his number is on the first page of this thread.
  16. No - we are all the same, the admin tag just comes with being able to access the control panel needed to sort various things out, like move, add or change sections of the forum and also reset passwords and activate accounts etc. In order to cut the possibility of overlap in changing things in the control panel and any of us making a mistake we try not to have too many people with that access, though to cover holidays and work commitments we need to ensure there are enough so as to ensure there is someone available to do the necessary when needed.
  17. No problem round here - cost me less than a tenner to have four tyres taken off the rims and four new ones put on! and they took special care of the rims too! Absolute bargain of a place and excellent customer service.
  18. Who cares - you drive something that shows a bit of imagination. Anyone can write a cheque for an M3 and join the masses of other BMW drivers out there. You can arrive a few seconds sooner in a BMW or arrive a little later in something a little more exclusive No contest imho. If it were all about speed we would have spent our £30k on a radical or atom.
  19. Nothing much escapes Dorians eagle eyes! Its not so much of a "rank" thing, its more to do with the access levels to the software so various issues can be sorted when others are away. We toyed with the possibility of having all the team set as admin, or all of us at moderator level with access to the "admin" tools. We didnt want people to think that those with admin status were in any way more important to the forum than those with moderator status as may be the case with other forums on the net. But without tweaking the forum settings yet again we cant really acheive that. I know you probably understand this more than others D, but just in case others didnt know, there it is I think over time we have come to a point where we can speak our minds on the forums now without having to tioptoe round any particular subjects.
  20. I ordered mine from blackcircles for delivery only and took to a local tyre fitter when it suite me. I dont envy your experience there Digsy.
  21. Id like to thank Mark for all the hard work he has put into this place over the last two years. The support at meets and shows has been exceptional, not to mention the Wales runs we have had in the past. With Rob now doing great work on the events front and Dave doing a fantastic job in arranging our biggest ever Wales run this year, the passing of the torch has certainly not resulted in any decline in enthusiasm for the events. Thanks again for all your help Mark you have been and continue to be a great part of our team and Im sure there will be a passenger seat available in someones car to all the meets and drives we have in the future! Look forward to catching up with you again
  22. What about painting the battery and brake fluid covers? A can of primer, colour and laquer from halfords and you can start modding for as little as a few quid. May get you started on the modding bug? Then you could do the engine cover with another couple of cans, and all topped off with a nice shiny strut brace, and the under bonnet look will be transformed for less than £150. Seems a reasonable place to start if youve never done anything before?
  23. You may also need to do some remedial work on the kit when it arrives, some fibreglass parts may need rebuilding on corners etc or require all edges smoothing and preparing before painting. Some plastic parts may also require small knocks filling or smoothing before painting. I very much doubt the parts will be ready to spray out of the box.
