  1. Who cares - you drive something that shows a bit of imagination. Anyone can write a cheque for an M3 and join the masses of other BMW drivers out there. You can arrive a few seconds sooner in a BMW or arrive a little later in something a little more exclusive No contest imho. If it were all about speed we would have spent our £30k on a radical or atom.
  2. Nothing much escapes Dorians eagle eyes! Its not so much of a "rank" thing, its more to do with the access levels to the software so various issues can be sorted when others are away. We toyed with the possibility of having all the team set as admin, or all of us at moderator level with access to the "admin" tools. We didnt want people to think that those with admin status were in any way more important to the forum than those with moderator status as may be the case with other forums on the net. But without tweaking the forum settings yet again we cant really acheive that. I know you probably understand this more than others D, but just in case others didnt know, there it is I think over time we have come to a point where we can speak our minds on the forums now without having to tioptoe round any particular subjects.
  3. I ordered mine from blackcircles for delivery only and took to a local tyre fitter when it suite me. I dont envy your experience there Digsy.
  4. Id like to thank Mark for all the hard work he has put into this place over the last two years. The support at meets and shows has been exceptional, not to mention the Wales runs we have had in the past. With Rob now doing great work on the events front and Dave doing a fantastic job in arranging our biggest ever Wales run this year, the passing of the torch has certainly not resulted in any decline in enthusiasm for the events. Thanks again for all your help Mark you have been and continue to be a great part of our team and Im sure there will be a passenger seat available in someones car to all the meets and drives we have in the future! Look forward to catching up with you again
  5. What about painting the battery and brake fluid covers? A can of primer, colour and laquer from halfords and you can start modding for as little as a few quid. May get you started on the modding bug? Then you could do the engine cover with another couple of cans, and all topped off with a nice shiny strut brace, and the under bonnet look will be transformed for less than £150. Seems a reasonable place to start if youve never done anything before?
  6. You may also need to do some remedial work on the kit when it arrives, some fibreglass parts may need rebuilding on corners etc or require all edges smoothing and preparing before painting. Some plastic parts may also require small knocks filling or smoothing before painting. I very much doubt the parts will be ready to spray out of the box.
  7. Ill get my Tracy Ball to get the kettle on! Tim? fancy a convoy rubber ducky?
  8. Sounds good to me buddy can have a cuppa before we set off

  15. Hi guys - got a few vouchers to go and spend, not gone for any Zed prezzies but can think of a couple I may treat myself to before the next show on the 17th. Was on a stag do last night, and helped a few others look after one of my best friends. If you can call "getting him blind drunk so he just about for got his own name and DID forget where he lived" looking after him. Having a walk round town in a while to go "man shopping" (thats every electronics and entertainment shop that can be found) and a meal with the family later.

  19. So you have recently become the owner of an Xbox and you come up with this! Or is this just what you do during the day, and the xbox gets used in the evening? I have days at work like that too
  20. It certainly has got a fanny magnet. Its attracted anything that looks gash to become stuck to it.
  21. You will usually find me on COD4 or Battlefield Bad Company. Gamer tag is C3ALL Ive got grid and played it once - got addicted to COD and Battlefield before I could get into Grid. From my impressions its no where near as good on the handling physics as Forza 2. Plus In Grid you cant do this Who says you cant drift in Forza 2

  23. The 3.5 V6 is an absolute pain in the arse to mask. I did mine in yellow myself, but with the time it took waiting between coats, sanding, painting, waiting, sanding, painting, waiting - repeat as necesary, then if you can get someone else to do it, I would Watch the Cusco stickers on the brace though - those braces dont half get hot after driving for a while, and if you lean on the sticker when its warm, it will come straight off, wont it James? Purple does actually look nice against yellow - my grounding kit has yellow cables and looks fine - but there is so much black surrounding the engine cover, its this you have to stand out against rather then the body colour, so maybe purple would look lost in a Z bay?
