  1. I think I was about to see how well a squished dady long legs would suit the paintwork.
  2. It will no doubt be more expensive than normal paint, so given how tight Nissan appear to have been with good old fashioned water based paint on the Z, this stuff will no doubt be put on so thin it will be almost bloody transparent
  3. It is a lot more sturdy on the lifters - and you dont worry about leaving it in a bit of a breeze. Only if it gets strong would you want to shut it to avoid spraining. In a light breeze with the standard lifter, I always thought it could lift off the strut and slam down, doing god knows what damage. Not a worry on the lifters and well worth the upgrade in my honest opinion.
  4. Going to have to pull out of this one guys - funds are a little tight after investing in the Endless brake caliper covers this month.
  5. Bah kids these days. They should stick to good old cup stacking or fun - apparently its quite the sport... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EDZ6z6RN3t4
  6. Exactly how fast do you need to travel to rip a car in half? Im guessing he wasnt hanging about. Words simply can't describe how lucky he is to be alive!!
  7. Ive mailed Neil the prices of these - quite the bargain at £150 I think Ill just employ the missus to go "Pssshht" out the window when I change gear.
  8. Rob - dont be so modest! Have you forgotten your trophy? No blown fuses this time and it does sound excellent Was good to catch up with everyone, and it was nice to see a decent enough turn out from clubs for what was a charity event afterall. A little lacking on the trader front, but Im sure the event will grow over time - though whether the site will be large enough to accomodate it we will have to see. My TomTom took me the usual "Goat Path" way home, rather than conventional route - levely speed humps took another few mm off the bottom of the front lip, but not to worry. Look forward to the next meet/event!
  9. The funny thing is, the HDR image represents a more accurate picture of what it was like in real life!
  10. Surely regardless of where the item was manufactured, and whether the seller is selling an exhaust that was made for Phil but sold direct to someone else, the only way an exhaust can become an "ESR" exhaust is by passing through Phils hands. By very definition, if its not been through ESR, its not an ESR exhaust. It may be the exact same item, it may not, but even if it is, it can only be refered to as an ESR exhaust if it has been through Phils company. It would be unfair to start refering to any items which are similar as "ESR" exhausts because it would be unfair to attach Phils name to these products in case they do turn out to be of an inferior standard.
  11. Had a play with this tonight - but havent taken multiple exposures so had to make do with adjusting the exposure of the raw file after the event. Here is the original photo taken whilst on Veligandu on Honeymoon: And after a play at HDR: Will be trying with actual different exposures instead of the artificial exposure adjustment on the raw file. Seems to work quite well
  12. Autobrite Supa Snowfoam. Came with the lance from Autobrite. Will get round to trying some other stuff as and when I get through this. Foam, rinse, clean wheels, rinse, wash, rinse, dry. No claybar, polishing or waxing today, but still looks great afterward.
  13. Well, almost.. Just getting it ready for the show at Wigan
  14. To get my yellow right they had to use a combination of two different manufacturers paint, as neither one on its own was a close enough match apparently. I know they did over 25 different samples before getting a combination that they were happy with.
  15. North Sea Fish Bar. Thats where you want to be. Whittington Moor, Chesterfield. Not that Ive been.
  16. Hmmm - just looking at this and Its given me the urge to try using my camera for more than just point and click now. Think Ill give it a whirl later if the weather stops fine
  17. combination od the material painted, and also the light reflecting differently on the panels, although the Z is quite curvy, its also got some angles. The standard skirts and bumpers will look different colours in varying lights. The filler cap is just one example of this, and if you look at a single panel with angle changes (like the door), you can see different shades on a single panel in the right light too. The bodyshop I used had to do over 25 different mixes and methods of application to get the yellow perfect, but the bodykit will still do exactly what the filler cap does in certain lights and be a slightly different shade.
  18. No - its called taking their adverts etc on face value and expecting something resembling a decent service. On another note, to balance out this issue, I ordered an addition to my cleaning kit on Tuesday and got that today - hopefully going to try it out later and can post the results :thumbs
  19. Poorboys stuff you will no doubt need to pick up from a detailing shop, though the NXT stuff can be picked up from Halfords. If you are undecided on which to go for, then why not give them a try at the meet and see which you prefer before buying - Im happy to let you have a play with the nxt stuff I have and see what you think.
  20. They look great on the black Z. I saw some on a white Evo where he had got the red rim sprayed, and the Volk sticker redone in white to match the car, looked fantastic on that too.
  21. Now thats a great way of punishing them. Takes some balls to put yourself on the front line, and hats off to those who do it. The only problems I could see with that is that these idiots would then probably end up endangering the lives of others who have chosen to be in the army whereby they could end up getting someone killed. The other is you would never get Shami Chakrabarti from Liberty off the bleeding telly if anyone dared suggest we actually punish people. Never mind send them to the front line where they could get shot. God forbid we actually inflict some form of punishment on people that deserve it. It's because of people like her and their namby pamby attitudes, that we have this culture of "couldnt give a toss" in the first place. Of course what we should be doing with these people is sitting them down with tea and buscuits, discussing why they feel opressed by the laws of the land and what we can do to help them through their troubled times.
  22. I almost saw my breakfast again then. Poor sod! That must have been unimaginably painful.
