Zociety is a US brand selling parts and clothing for all zeds. I'm guessing they have expanded into Europe/UK I noticed they have arranged club stands at a lot of shows this year and posted it a month or so ago in another thread I have no connection with zociety in any way, but people are often commenting about not having club stands anywhere! I bought a ticket for JD Coombe, and probably going to buy for Japfest Classic

No need to be jealous. Its taken years to build and I used to go up to Birmingham (100 miles) for their Wales and Peak District driveouts from London. Simply because I know people would turn up no matter the weather. Then you get local joiners depending on destination. Theyve also come down to Oxford at the barn halfway that was Cool. I sold my Z 3 years ago. Otherwise I would plus im away for a month in Asia. Im sure if you used Facebook as well can get a few more people. Good Luck.

Hi all, I have to admit, I got a little bit jealous of Midlandz! With some encouragement from Keith D and ShorPaul, I thought I’d test the waters for a southern Z meet. I’ve never organised anything like this before (unless you count a birthday party for my wife), so please bear with me Based on where people seem to be located, somewhere between Southampton and Taunton might be a good starting point. That said, it really depends on how far everyone is willing to travel, so I’m open to suggestions. I’m expecting numbers to be fairly low, maybe around 10 cars at most, but who knows! If it turns out to be more, I may need to look into things like public liability insurance. For a smaller group around 5–10 cars, I imagine a simple meet-up in a café or pub car park should be fine? I’m open to any ideas or feedback, so feel free to share your thoughts!

Oh... I may be down for that as well then! For the south meet... I will see what I can do. let me create a new post for this.

I'm still trying to summon up courage to cut holes in my carbon bonnet for secondary latches.... 🤣

Took this at Refuel Cullompton on Friday night. Next Sunday theme is JDM v German if anyone in the S/SW is interested in a meet.

Castle Coombe is a club stand, hosted by Zociety

I'm near Taunton, SW. As long as it's not unreasonable drive I'm up for any south / south west meets.

If you find a good alternative I'm interested to know 👍

Or you could try to organise something yourself if you have an idea.

2004 350Z 110,000 mls…all car checks OK …. Battery drain with car locked 80 ma, Alternator output just over 14v I’ve had two AGM sealed batteries Yoasa and Bosch in the last for years each with a 4 yr warranty and each packed in after two years with the same fault ie the battery not holding charge. In both cases the suppliers would not replace under warranty saying the cells checked out ok and that's as far as they would go. After a little research I find the problem seems to be that these batteries don’t like not being fully charged at all times ie if after starting you don’t travel for long enough to replace the starting current then you must put the battery on charge at the end of your journey or drive around a for 30 to 60:mins according to Chat GPT. It would seem that undercharging causes lead sulphate crystals to grow on the cells reducing their ability to hold charge. Anyone else had this problem? If so don’t you think this is a con when you’re not given a copy of the warrant to check when buying and just told it’s a 4 yr warranty end of !!

Such a shame... Well, if anyone from the south reading this, I am ready 😅

This is because @davey_83 is very active in organising these for people. There was organisers in the south but when these were organised people never seemed to turn up unfortunately...

I’ve only booked Japfest Silverstone this year. Still thinking about Combe, had a great time last year, but without a 350z-uk stand I’m not sure. What I meant was, the Midlands seems to have quite a few 350z specific meets, but I haven’t really seen much down south. I see loads of 350s around Southampton area, so I’m sure the numbers are there, just needs someone to take the lead and get something going I guess

I’ve got a budget of around £5500 for an early 350Z, ideally before ‘05. Ideally, I’d avoid a silver one. I can maybe stretch to £6000 for the right one.

Hi all, I've previously added Molyslip when doing a gearbox oil service, as was recommended on many older threads. It seems the product got discontinued in 2024 and is no longer for sale apart from a few sellers on eBay that still have old stock. What's the go-to alternative these days? Any particular recommendations for Zed boxes? Thanks
