  2. Buxton/High Peak newbie here. Not owned a 350 for a long time now, this one has 52k miles on it/ 2005 reg. I paid £2,500 more for it than one I sold 6 years ago that had 37k on the clock, so it would appear they are creeping up in value? There were 370Z's at a similar price point/mileage, I was tempted by a white Autotrader one in Liverpool, which looked very nice. May still be on there. It seems ok so far, but the clutch pedal creaks and the driver electric seat function seems a bit "hit and miss". Doesn't move straight away when you click the switch. However, it is 21 years old (05 Reg.) so I do expect some things will need attention. Cheers.
  3. This "lighting kit" was the first thing I wanted changed. Each to their own, but never keen on this type of thing. Most likely classified as a "modification" and if the worst happened, a perfect excuse for the insurance folk to refuse to pay a penny?
  4. Thanks for the link to @Tarmac@TarmacSportz all. I had found Horsham Devs but 3hrs each way is a hell of a journey. Sounds like I might need to have "gallery gaskets" replaced, does anyone know how much that might cost? Coupled with a P3 service? Just had a local mechanic remove some horrific underlights/"magic carpet" as well.
  5. BONOSS here, as noted in my profile. If you’ve put a big brake kit on and your wheels now rub the caliper, you’ve got two options: go to a larger wheel for the room, or push your current wheels out. Our 350Z page calls the second option the most cost-effective, and it lists spacers that work with Brembo, AP Racing, EBC, and similar kits. Big-kit calipers are usually bigger than the space inside the stock wheel, so the extra room has to come from somewhere. To size it, lay a straightedge across the outer edge of the wheel at the point closest to the fender. That gap is the thickness you want for a flush or near-flush look. Too thin and the wheel or caliper still interferes. Too thick and the tire rubs the fender. The page also notes that sizing it right keeps you legal. The Z33 specs are 5x114.3, 66.1mm center bore, and M12x1.25. Our BONOSS 350Z spacers are available from 15mm to 50mm, including a 25mm (1 inch) size. Each set is a pair and includes the hardware you need. One check before you order: if the spacer is thinner than your original studs, the wheels need pockets in the mounting surface, otherwise the stock studs have to be shortened.

  7. I don't single out Nissan for producing bland, soulless cars. Pretty much every manufacturer is at it these days. Ignoring supercars, GT3s and other unobtainable exotic stuff, there genuinely isn't a single new car on sale that makes me want to walk into a dealership for a test drive. That's a pretty depressing thought. As for EVs, I'd genuinely rather poke my eyes out than own one. And if I ever reach the point where I'm sitting in the pub discussing charging curves, battery conditioning and public charging networks for an hour, someone please put me out of my misery. I've taken to hiring a car when I have a long journey to take; daily a 25 year old Rav4 for running around town, shopping and tip runs; and 370z toy for fun. I've come to the conclusion peak motor car was 1990s and we didn't realise it at the time. The next car I buy will possibly be an R33, to sit alongside the 370z.
  8. What reputation? Nissan have always primarily been a manufacturer of cars that your Nan would drive, with a smattering of sports cars on the side. What they need is a generic car that people actually really want to buy, like the original Juke was in modern terms or the Micra going back a bit further. Something that will actually sell, not something that’s going to go up against the might of an M or an AMG where the majority will put their money regardless.
  9. Nissan is going to extremes: all they have are EV crossovers and old cult classics. To maintain their reputation in Europe and save the Z lineup, they urgently need a hybrid sports coupe.
  10. That's in lovely condition.
  11. Updating the firmware or doing a factory reset could help, since that preloaded song points to leftover demo settings.
  12. Yeah @Tarmac@TarmacSportz in Derby is the go to place near you @buster is a zed legend 👍🏻
  13. Jeez, has it really been 4 years since I updated this ! Well I’ve still got the old girl ! and have enjoyed plenty of meets, drive outs and a couple of road trips too. which have included a European trip through France, Austria, Switzerland and Germany and last year the NC500, where she never missed a beat ! and other than the usual servicing and MOT’s has been trouble free. Though before I did the NC500 @buster @Tarmac@TarmacSportz replaced the original banana arms which years ago I’d had the bushes replaced for super pro ones, but the ball joints had gone this time and was knocking. Bob recommended the MOOG replacements, so I went with those. Also whilst the zed was up in the air had the gearbox and diff oil changed too and Bob gave the zed a good check over, probably because he didn’t want it breaking down whilst on the trip because I was going with him She also had a new set of Michelin PSS on the rear ready for Scotland’s weather as the old ones was getting a little low and could be a bit dicey at times A new battery was fitted this spring as the old one was no longer holding charge, despite being on a trickle charger over winter. The old one had lasted 8 years so I guess I can’t complain 😂 so went with the same Bosch one I’d had previously Then it was time to do something I’ve wanted to do for years and since events which have happened this year had given me the time I thought it was about time ! So I set to transforming the Zeds hideaway. She’s now sorn and tucked up for winter until next year when the story will continue !

  15. Here’s my car, hope you like it.
  16. Hi and welcome along. Lets have a look at your car then?
  17. Hey everyone, I’m Rhett Calloway. I’ve got a 2007 350Z, which is what brought me here. Quick heads-up: I work for BONOSS, so keep that in mind if I bring up anything related to the company. Looking forward to learning from you all, getting advice on maintenance and mods, and checking out your builds. Feel free to ask me anything!
  18. Safety first, so I'd check discs and pads/replace if necessary, and get the fluid flushed. New boots if the tyres are illegal. Followed by oil, filters etc, a full service. Then have fun with it.... you'll figure out what sort of 350z you want, no need to force it. Tarmac Sportz would be your local specialist I imagine.
  19. I have recently bought it, thanks
  20. Hello all, in a similar boat. Got a 350 recently and it goes ok. But what would you do if you had, say, £700-£1,200 tops to spend on it (in terms of preventative maintenance/work to keep it off the hard shoulder?) 52,000 miles on the clock. No service record. Thanks for any advice. Happy to drive to a good specialist and leave the car for a day or 2, explore local area as I wait (annual leave to use or lose this side of Xmas!) I am in Derbyshire.
  21. Hi there, I am in Buxton, SK17. Is Cougar Store still recommended for 350z work? Or any other recommendations within 1-2hrs of Buxton, if CS is not still a specialist or not trading, etc?
  22. Got sent a couple pics of mine from today meet
