Got a big brake kit and want to keep your wheels? Spacers vs. new wheels

BONOSS here, as noted in my profile. If you’ve put a big brake kit on and your wheels now rub the caliper, you’ve got two options: go to a larger wheel for the room, or push your current wheels out. Our 350Z page calls the second option the most cost-effective, and it lists spacers that work with Brembo, AP Racing, EBC, and similar kits. Big-kit calipers are usually bigger than the space inside the stock wheel, so the extra room has to come from somewhere.

To size it, lay a straightedge across the outer edge of the wheel at the point closest to the fender. That gap is the thickness you want for a flush or near-flush look. Too thin and the wheel or caliper still interferes. Too thick and the tire rubs the fender. The page also notes that sizing it right keeps you legal.

The Z33 specs are 5x114.3, 66.1mm center bore, and M12x1.25. Our BONOSS 350Z spacers are available from 15mm to 50mm, including a 25mm (1 inch) size. Each set is a pair and includes the hardware you need.

One check before you order: if the spacer is thinner than your original studs, the wheels need pockets in the mounting surface, otherwise the stock studs have to be shortened.
