Kev946 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Alonso has seat fitting with Honda http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/29112007/ ... tting.html Does this mean Rubens is out or maybe Button goes to McLaren....who knows... Quote
GC350z Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 This would fit in with the rumoured clause in his McLaren contract preventing him from driving for a top team as Honda sucked last year. Honda finished 8th while Renault were 3rd. If it happens I would expect Rubens to be sent to Super Aguri. Did you see the headline last Sunday? Ralf makes pitch for McLaren seat. Very funny. Now he's testing for Force India with Fisi. Quote
M13KYF Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I'd read that Ruben's was going anyway. He's been very poor for Honda, so no loss. Button can leave and the end of 2008 before the contract ends as he has a clause in it allowing him to leave if Honda has a poor performance Quote
jonathan73 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I had a wish, or a dream, or a preminition a while back that Button joined Hamilton at McLaren to make a mighty GB duo at the GB(ish) team. Then we'd get to see how good Button really is...... Apparently he is very good. ?? ? ?? ?? Quote
mbs Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 That would be interesting, Button & Hamilton racing, my money would be on Hamilton winning, think Button's lost the desire. Quote
rmmackfc Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I would expect Honda to be a lot better this year. With Ross Brawn in charge and the financial power of Honda who knows.... although they're MotoGP bikes sucked for the majority of last year too! Quote
GC350z Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 If I were Button I'd stick with Honda and Ross Brawn. At least for next year. Quote
martinmac Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Woud fit in great here http://renegades.central-signs.co.uk/ And I wouldnt have to watch him. Quote
GC350z Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Honda have denied the report and say driver line up was confirmed for 08 back in July. http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=41368 Quote
