Time to start saving for a new exhaust Y section

I have had my tyres checked again, didn't get as far balancing as both inside edges were found to be quite well worn. (still legal though). Looks like the tracking is out. I 'll get that done at the same time as the P2 as the tyre place can't get my car on its ramp At least it is nothing major, just some new tyres in the future.

I forgot to mention that I have had allfour wheels checked and rebalanced where necessary.

I'm looking for some technical help before my car goes in on Friday for a P2 service, (forearmed is forewarned). I seem to have developed a vibration through the steering wheel. It appears at speeds over 60mph but not through the acceleration but after I lift off the accelerator pedal as I set my speed or if I have decelerate due to slower traffic, but always after acceleration. Any ideas? Any help would be very much appreciated as I don't want to get ripped off for unnecessary work and parts.

James, you don't the chance to choose! The one I attended was run by the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Safety Camera Scheme. The course is an alternative to the fine and penalty points. You can elect to pay £60 and take the course instead of paying £60 and receiving the points. The offer of attending a course is only made for low-level speeding offences. Those who are eligible receive a booking form with their penalty offer from Leicestershire Constabulary. Overall the course was very informative and not patronising in any way. It certainly changed the way I drive in 30mph zones. I was offered it as I was caught with a laser gun doing 34mph. It was explained that the limit was 30mph + 10% and 1mph over i.e 34mph. Any more and I would not have received the alternative choice. The course is only allowed to be attented once, after that if you are caught again - fine and points!

I thought generally that if it is a 30, it should have lamposts for pedestrians...(hence why it's a 30) and that the speed limit must be displayed on every few lamposts? I got caught some time ago and had the option of a speed awareness course. One of the the things that they cleared up was that just because a road has lamposts doesn't mean it is automatically a 30mph zone; 40/50 mph roads can have lamposts but they will be clearly marked with speed limit signs. If there is a 30mph road coming off a higher limit road it will have 30mph signs at the start of the road but not necessarily further down the road. Check next time you are out, I was quite suprised how little the number of 30mph signs there are after the intitial signs.

Shire, Signs are only required to be displayed at intervals above 30mph. You will always find 30mph at the start of the 30mph zone but not necessarily after that. Go back over the road you travelled and check if there at least one set of set 30mph sign; if there arn't any maybe you have some grounds for an appeal, if there are you are stuffed!

I got my car from Westway at Coventry with a great P/X deal. They also had my Rays refurbished due to bubbling some 6 months later on a 2 year old car. So overall I have happy with them. Oh I forgot they also replaced the hatch struts as well.
