PPod Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 So my exhaust is decatted and the engine light was always on ever since so after the re-up last week it was turned off. I thought it would permenantly stay off from this software but i just went a drive in the car and its came back Anyone know why that is? Quote
Wasso Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Best talk to whoever applied the Up-Rev. Alternatively get a OBD reader in the port to identify the code. Quote
PPod Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Cheers wasso will message chris from dyna tune. Also how hard is it to take the bulb out of dash haha Quote
ZeppoJeff Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Mine did the same...just pedal dance and it went away again Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Needs to be disabled in UpRev, ask Chris if he did disable it. Quote
Pritchard Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 might be just you're luck that a different fault. Chris 1st, OBDII 2nd Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 OBD or pedal dance and video record the light flashing so we can see the code Quote
Chris@Dyna.Tune Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 The check light was only switched off for the de-cats, nothing else. If you pop by as discussed via PM we can get a real reason as to why it's on instead of wild guesses 1 Quote

If you pop by as discussed via PM we can get a real reason as to why it's on instead of wild guesses Sounds like reasonable advice and if the post cat sensors are switched off you then have potentially a genuine EML code pending resolution. Adrian@TORQEN Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Second that, go back to Chris, sounds like another reason why the EML is ON. Quote
PPod Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Pedal dance done the trick will see if it comes back Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Pedal dance..? Yes ..... If you get in the foot well and tap the clutch / brake / accelerator peddles one at a time with your hands it will unleash a further 30 bhp ........ Go try it and let us know how you get on......... 2 Quote
