Stew Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 My girlfriend wants a headunit for christmas that has Ipod connectivity and bluetooth. The pioneer DEH-P85BT ticks all the boxes and she thinks it's pretty...... Just looking for a reputable place to buy discounted ICE. Loads of folk on the net selling these things but want someone that can be trusted. My local dealer needs about £400 or something for it. Any suggestions? Quote

Stew Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 It's for my girlfriends Focus. Believe me if I could buy a christmas present for her that would go on my Zed I bloddy well would! Quote
N15MNO-Daron Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Get her a cheap £50 head unit and use the extra money on your Z Quote
Stew Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 I was going to get her a cheaper one but the prices on the net are good and the HU seems to have everything. Besides, I've spent enough on the Zed in the last few months! Quote

Stew Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 Ha ha! I'd rather buy a GTR than save up for FI! Quote

Rob_Quads Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 £250 on a Pionere unit If your spending that much your much better off going for a decent Alpine unit - something like a 9885 or 9877 http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/CDA-9885 ... tml?cat=20 http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/CDA-9887 ... tml?cat=20 Quote
Stew Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 I know Rob but the Alpines ones aren't as 'pretty' apparantly...... I'm sure Nixy and other girls would understand! I was pushing her for Alpine but she likes the look of Pioneers better. Quote

I was pushing her for Alpine but she likes the look of Pioneers better. Er pardon me? Next you'll be saying I put my lipstick on at the traffic lights! I need a new head unit as well. I want one that I can play my ipod through without having to touch the ipod itself and would rather it actually matched the current display but it doesn't have to be pretty. Any ideas? Don't want to spend more than about £250 Quote
Ian Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 My setup cost around £250. I got this headunit http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /4658.html If i was buying now though, Id be getting this unit http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /5777.html Quote
nixy Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 No CD player though - I know I don't really need one but I can't help feeling there should be one there! What do you think? Knowing my luck my ipod would break then I would be back to square one! Quote
