Slipping Clutch

Hey guys,

Recently I noticed that whilst I'm accelerating, the revs don't match the speed.

Smelt a pretty strong burning smell and so I can only assume that the clutch is on its way out and would need to be replaced.

I'm in the Hampshire area (Basingstoke) and I was wondering if anyone has any gold suggestions for a mechanic? Otherwise I'm going to have to go back home to go my usual guy!

Cheers in advance!

Excuse my geogrpahy if I'm wrong, but you've got Horsham Developments and Abbey Motorsport nearby, so you're spoilt for choice. I've not used either myself but from what appears on here, they're both extremely well regarded.

Be rude not to do some mods and get a remap whilst your there ;)

Gave them a ring and it seems quite expensive. Granted that it is the clutch and flywheel. Wondering if anyone knew where to get the parts from myself? I have a friend who can do the job for £120 but I need to source the replacements! I've pmd zmanalex but if anyone else has any suggestions?

Are you after a standard clutch or upgrade? Sticking with the standard DMF (dual mass flywheel) or going for SMF (single mass flywheel) or lightweight?

Either way there are plenty of traders on here who can supply you a clutch like Clark Motorsport (as post above ;) ). Link: http://www.350z-uk.c...ark-motorsport/

Check out the traders section for more traders.

Edit: Beaten to the post by CM.
