zebedy Posted October 14, 2014 Share Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) Hi Im about to buy these, but need advice before I do the transaction. Are the fitments i.e. the ET offsets ok?? Will I need Spacers?? If so what thickness on front and what on rear?? Also what size tyres would I need to buy to fill the arches without the need to drop the right height. Just want sound advice. I appriciate they are not everyones cup of tea.But are going to suit my grand scheme of things. Lastly, can someone cut and paste them onto a gunmetal Zed for me to look at. Yes a bit skinny but tyres are cheaper in the long run. Grundy Posted October 14, 2014 Share Posted October 14, 2014 The idea of getting new wheels is to negate spacers, essentially buying wheels that fit properly in the first place (As many will tell you I found out the hard way, mainly for running brembos) The Ad says if you have brembos, they won't fit. They may fit with spacers, but that's an expensive gamble... My advice: Look else where - http://www.rimtuck.com/ study that site for 350z wheel sizes. I got an alloy wheel & tyre package from The Cougar Store on here ~ I was looking at spacers but ended up getting new alloys in the end as it is a much better idea to do it that way and Mitz was able to advise me on exactly what offset/sizes I needed to get the set up I was after. Both these traders linked below are forum traders so you can PM both if you want to discuss sizes or alloy manufacturers to see if they can get the make you're after or a very similar style to the ones you want. Which then only leaves guys like rimstyle, wheelbase, topgear and the like who can offer what I like but the offsets are compromised. I don't think I've got no other option. I won't have to pay for spacers as I could make my own in our machine shop so There's no cost there. Time to shop around me thinks. Thanks guys. All better suggestions than buying cheap rims that dont fit IMO. I cant believe you cant find a set of Rotas you dont like either, but in a similar price range are Ultralite, Varrstoen and Im sure a few more too.
