OEM Boot Badge

I'm getting the boot lid resprayed on my JDM 350z convertible on the 19th and they have said the FairladyZ badge won't go back on.

I'm looking for a replacement OEM if possible but all I can seem to find on eBay is this.

 

Does anyone know of a better place to get one or what alternatives I have? What if I got an OEM 350Z badge rather than the FairladyZ badge?

He said each letter would have to come off and I assume they aren't easy to reattach.

 

Thanks for the offer but its the 350z or fairladyZ badge I need and not the emblem.

Utter tosh!

 

Very easy to refit with a decent quality double sided tape.

How well do you trust his work? It's simply a case of reapplying the sticky tape and sticking it back on the car, correct spacing is obtained with nothing more than a bit of masking tape over the length of the badge before removal. Any decent body shop wouldn't think twice about doing this - most of the professional detailers I know regularly remove badging just to clean behind them!

I'm afraid I'd be questioning this guy's ability to do the job to a decent standard, frankly.

There really are some lazy people around!

As said, any bodyshop worth the money would do this without even mentioning it to you. It's just accepted as something that is part of the deal.

Put my zed badge back on with some spare double sided sticky foam pads over a year ago when it came off whilst I was cleaning I had the pads lying around after fitting the alarm light to my bike. I bought them from the pound shop and just just cut to fit.

I was thinking of not putting the FairladyZ badge back on and instead of having the Nissan logo, have one of these instead.

What's peoples thoughts on this?

I've PM'ed Asad to get a chrome silver Z badge. I think I'll have that and do away with the FairladyZ for now and see how it looks
