Advice needed about new car delivery

Hey guy's, not sure what to do, my new qashqai is going to be ready next week, it's 3.5 hours away from me in Warrington, the question is do I get up there and check it over and drive it back or they can drive it down to me for free, but obviously I can't check over the car and god knows how these delivery guys will thrash it on the motorway.

 

What would you do?

If you're worried about how it's going to be delivered then you should go and collect it.

 

I also wouldn't say you couldn't check over the car if they delivered it, I would be more inclined to give it a good check over.

as far as I'm aware - even if they deliver it to your house, you can still reject it

My new car was delivered to my address on the back of a trailer so nobody drove it. Arrived with 3 miles on the clock and I was able to do a full inspection BEFORE signing to accept the car.

 

May be worth speaking to the garage and ask them if the car will be driven or trransported.

I have known dealers to cover travel costs to make your way to the dealership. This is Nissan so unlikely but worth a try

Sod that, I'd get them to deliver every time. That's a no brainer on a white goods car where they're not likely to shower you in champagne.

They have said that once they arrive the car will be checked and any marks etc will be sorted out, they have said that they always deliver if not local and rarely been any problems.

So I'm going to get them to deliver it, reason I didn't buy via my local dealer is that I've saved about £4,000.
