Door Pillars

Hi Guys,

 

I am going to be changing the door pillars but can someone tell me how best to remove these and what to use to affix new ones?

The B-Pillars (shiny black plastic)? they just pop off, open the door, stick a flat headed screwdriver behind them and pop them off. As for affix new ones depends on what your doing. Most people just wrap the old ones and pop them back on.

How are the B-Pillars attached? Are there lugs on these that just clip back in or are they stuck on using some sort of adhesive?

There are 3 lugs on each B pillar trim.

Be careful that you do not break them on removal.

Best to replace these clips as I have found (to my expense) once removed they become worn and the female part of the clip becomes slack.

Very good advice...from experience CM will have 'em on your doorstep within a few hours

 

Also, a lot easier to accomplish on a warm day when the plastic is more pliable.
