i think its trying to tell you something................ie fed up with cardiff stop start - get me back in them thar hills

Dont know if this has been suggested... before you buy a new window glass try to polish it. there are vids on youtube of people polishing windscreens to remove scratches and stuff so it might work or just reduce it?

 

i think you just need to buy some glass compound and a normal sponge head and rotary polisher might work?

I haven't read all the posts so forgive me if it has been mentioned before.

 

Wont the damage be sorted by your windscreen insurance, pretty sure it covers passenger sides windows as well. Prob £50 excess or something.

 

Hope you get the squeak sorted by the way!!
