Grundy Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Okay....So a friend got me thinking... Whats the state of the boot like after the removal of the spoiler? Does anyone have any images? And is it bolted on? I'm asking because the BGW will be arriving at some point, and it's only just occurred to me that I need to remove the OEM spoiler So am I going to be left with holes? Quote
tony.r123 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I might be wrong but seem to remember people saying that there are 2 bolts? Quote
Grundy Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 I might be wrong but seem to remember people saying that there are 2 bolts? I got a feeling there are bolts, but curious as to what people have done to cover them up. Quote

tony.r123 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 That'll be a hair dryer, meths and elbow grease needed then. Quote

StevoD Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 maybe the stars will align and them holes will match the bgw 1 Quote
Grundy Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 That'll be a hair dryer, meths and elbow grease needed then. Right well this is annoying!!!! So need Orange tape and long term solution will need to be filled in and sprayed Quote
Grundy Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 maybe the stars will align and them holes will match the bgw Yeah I'm going to stick with this theory - Or at least the mount might cover a good proportion of the hole. Quote
buster Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 stick a grommit in until you can sort something more permanent Quote
Keyser Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Fiber glass underneath at least - with a little dip so the filler is a bit thicker (unless your going to weld it?) - that should also water proof it for you, then filler and a respray to hide completely Quote
Grundy Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 See you two always come up with the best options Quote

BulletMagnet Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I see a group of five Zed owners making a trip to the Zed Shed...all with BGW and all with holes to fill..... 2 Quote
tony.r123 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 You could possibly fit the BGW then slot the original to fit around the feet? (could be the meths talking ) Quote
AliveBoy Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Make that 6, still haven't had mine done from a few years back! Quote
BulletMagnet Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 If it was me, I'd have a metal plate tack welded under the hole and then bodyfiller in the hole and then paint (might be me watching too much American Chopper / Pimp My Ride) Quote
